the smell in the large 7 beds-room was a combination of stuffy non aired saturated cigarette, masked by some incense sticks (didn't mask it well enough as we all felt like gagging). It was hard to ventilate our room as there was only one window that could open and it would slam shot when the door opens. Also- there was a super bright exit light sign above the door- as if we are in a club and not a guest room. The kitchen was tiny, sticky floor, non matching dishes. The fridge used by toher guests had a strong smell of salamy each times it was opened. In the morning the sink was full of someones dirty dishes and in the afternoon same dishes still there. The window in one of the bathrooms was covered with newspaper and the entrance to the guesthouse had crumpled down staircase. Electric wires were covered with sticky tape. You cant really see much of a view from our the room(aside from the other building gray wall).

I honestly didn't like anything about this guesthouse, so much so that I booked a different place for the remaining 2 nights. Had I known in advance I would sure save my hard earned travel money and stay clear from this place.

It is old and there have not been no make up and there have been painting over a mold. There were no place to put your clothes on, no hangers.

More than one shared toilet would be great for four rooms. But really, we had no issues.

Booked one night when other choices not available. Pleasantly surprised with clean facilities and large comfertable common area... much better than other reviews indicate.

It's a total disaster! We've been traveling around the island for over a week, and every night we've slept in a different hostel, but none have been as horrible as this one! They took us to a "cottage" next to the hostel (it’s an apartment with 4 rooms). When you enter, there's a large living room with a very, very dirty and old kitchen! The rooms are only separated by very thin drywall (you can hear almost every movement from the other room)! The room we stayed in is quite spacious, but there's no wardrobe to put your things in. Instead, there was a child's bed in the room (and we are three adults)...wtf We wanted to heat up a pizza in the Microwave, but it's so filthy that we stayed hungry... The shower looks awful, everything is old and dirty (and I was the first one to use the shower). The toilet is new but not very clean.

Large room with full kitchen and everything you could ever need in a room! Check in was simple and very cozy place.

Shared Bathroom was dirty. Hadn’t changed bath mat. Room was tiny. Could barely move around with our two suitcases. There were much better rooms with private bath and amenities but I don’t blame the host. Booking.com never showed us anything but a shared bath room.

My room was on the first floor and the only one opening directly to the stairwell. More could be done to make it clear that it's the door to someone's room so that other guests aren't talking so loudly at night or trying to open my door when they come to check-in, presumably assuming it's the reception.

Nice private room, good views and central location in town, very close to drop off and pick up for the airport shuttle.

Poor upkeep. Both sink handles were broken (but could be used) in the shower room. The shower smelled of mildew. Articles left in shower room by previous guests were never picked up/discarded. Clean towels were not left every day in the toilet room. The toilet seat was lose and moved unsafely when a person sat on it. The bed sheet covered a duvet that looked dirty. The small pillows were "knots" of filling. Room key did not initially work and had to get help. The staff was not friendly--never a welcome, never an apology, never a thank you. We were stuck there four days.

Nor far from "downtown" so could easily walk to restaurants and other places.

The room was not equipped with a sink, the bathroom on the 2nd floor did not have a mirror. The kitchen was very small and not that clean / comfortable.

It´s an old house with renovated rooms which is located in the heart of Ísafjörður.

Walls are very thin and you can hear other guests talking / snoring in their room.

Great location, easy and seamless checkin. I stayed in the studio - good comfy room with a fully equipped kitchen. The host drove me to the airport after my stay for no charge. Highly recommend.

Dirty room with worn out pillows, duvets and covers that we opted not to use because we thankfully had our own in the car. Common area smelly and dirty. Kitchen gross and smelly. Shared bathroom unappealing with minimal signs of regular housekeeping. Showering booth had signs of what looked like mold or some kind of growth and was dirty. Guests expected to share two smelly hand towels in bathroom instead of just having a paper towel unit on the wall. And again, we noticed hardly any sign of any housekeeping during our stay other than restocking the toilet paper in the shared bathrooms. Experience felt more like a cheap hostel than a hotel that charges what this place did.
