How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing.
Clean and spacious public area, not far from the gas station or supermarket (with a car). The kitchen is well-equipped with a dishwasher. And perchance, a super friendly cat would come to greet you. Last but not the least, the owner of guesthouse is very nice and kind, he helped us when we had a situation with our car on the morning of check-out. It is always good to have a reliable and contactable host when one travels in a foreign land.

Everything was fine, there were no bad things.
Everything was really well organised, the room was comfortable and we had everything we needed for an one night staying. Fully recommend, the extra thing is the view on a small lake, beautiful.

4 rooms with 2 shared nice bathrooms and shared room with kitchen where we could cook. Fantastic view from the room, as the house is directly in front of the lake.

As this is a family house, it’s not very handy to meet with other people in the kitchen but as there are only a few rooms it wasn’t a problem.
Super clean, perfect kitchen, comfy room. So far the best in whole ring road!

Would have been great to have a sink in the room and the front door was tricky to open but overall, we had a great time!
The room was spacious and the guesthouse had a well equipped kitchen. It was clean and comfortable and we had a good view from the room of ducks swimming in the water in the morning.

Isolation is not the greatest. Therefore, the room was rather warm when we arrived, as the beautiful sun was shining. But leaving the windows open solved the problem quickly. We liked the place a lot.
The place exceeded our expectations. It was a clean, cosy place with a well-equipped kitchen and a spectacular view over the lake.

There are only 2 bathrooms (in each is a WC and shower). When the guesthouse is at full capacity, it gets quite crowded and you might need to wait for your turn quite long, especially in the morning.
Good location, well equipped kitchen. Clean. Good vibe. The rooms are quite basic, but enough for a short stay.

Everything with the guesthouse was really nice. We had an encounter with another guest there though, who came to announce in the middle of a phonecall to quiet the house cause HE NEEDS TO SLEEP. It was 18 o'clock and we weren't loud nor was there any music blaring. Just a phone call. But as said, it doesn't reflect the guesthouse in any way.
This was really nice house to stay in. The kitchen was really well equipped. We had a good parking spot right in front of the house. Nice quiet area in the living parts of the town. We came to enjoy the Vök baths (really great place) and ended up in an extreme snowstorm. We got an experience of a lifetime in the canyons near the town.

For us it was an emergency stay due to road closures, but the host was extremely hospitable and friendly. It was not planned stay and our stay was just for waiting a better weather, however it was very convenient and nice place to stay. Facilities are excellent and everything was exceptional. Thanks for hospitality
