Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThis is the second time we've stayed at this hotel. It's very nice, spacious, the staff is very helpful and the location is great. It's right on Laugavegur, which is a main shopping street that still manages to be charming. On a summer evening you can watch people hop-scotching and scootering round. It was much cheaper on our most recent trip because we were there in early May. At the height of the summer you can expect high prices.

Saudi Arabia- The excellent location and being at the heart of the city comes with extra noise. The live band next door plays every night from around 8-11. My wife complained about the noise but I went down and enjoyed the nice music 😁. - There are no ACs in most hotels in Iceland because usually they are not needed. However last week was exceptionally warm and some people might prefer an AC or a fan. My teenage kids asked for a fan and they were provided with one.
- Excellent location in the main pedestrian street in Reykjavik. - Nice and clean. - Reasonable value for money in Reykjavik - Reasonable size rooms - Public parking in the streets around the hotel - Multiple restaurants and shops around the hotel - Nice live music in the pub next door/ downstairs - I had minimal contact with the staff but they were courteous

IrelandVery dissapointed no roof top hot tub upon arrival, reason i booked this hotel, misleading information on hotel website. Was told on check in new owner who didn't want hot tub anymore but website not updated. I had friends staying on top floor who told me hot tub was still there but covered over so it could still have been used by guests.
Free tea, coffee, hot chocolate 24 hrs in reception was lovely, very comfortable bedding and bed, fantastic central location, room cleaned every day and cleaning staff very friendly.

United StatesThe lighting system took some practice to figure out. The days of simple on and off switches are over. Now it’s fading to and from darkness by pressing various switches for a few seconds or pressing it hard and releasing it to turn it on or off. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were very nice. I was happy with the room.
Rooms were clean and the staff were pleasant.

SingaporeWe got a 2nd floor room. Room was much bigger than expected and had a mini-pantry which was nice. However, the room was located just next to the bar downstairs, which was blasting loud music at night. It was quite disruptive. Hope that the hotel management could control it. Would have gave a higher score otherwise.

SwedenOn arrival there were no towels and no bed linen in our room, which is not acceptable as we pay a lot for the room. The first receptionist couldn’t do anything she said. The second one managed to find towels and bed linen - but one had a huge hole in it. We were compensated with free breakfast so, it was ok. But not a very nice welcoming. What the room also needed: - Somwhere to hang clothes and towels in the bathroom. - A kettle for making tea/coffee in the room. - A shoehorn
Great room and bathroom. Well cleaned. Good space. It’s in the city centre and many shops, restaurants and cafés around. Great to have a fridge in the room.

SwedenOur friends lacked bed sheets on the arrival, and the receptionist wasn’t able to get any. Which wasn’t a nice start. We also had appreciated something to hang our towels on in the bathroom. A shoehorn is also needed in a hotelroom.
Big room, big bathroom, all newly decorated. The cleaning was also very good. We also liked the balcony with the view and it’s being situated on the main street with lots of restaurants, cafés and pubs near by.

United KingdomBeing adjacent to a bar , the room was initially very noisy , but this quieted down later at night. I would like a kettle in the room instead of maybe having to go down to the lobby but good to have the option downstairs at least.
Great location, coffee in the lobby, big bed and clean living space and bathroom , it was great for a short stay.
