Margret was very friendly and very kind to help us when we arrived after midnight and gave us a tip to spot the northern lights,. . The place, the space, the beds was very comfortable and the location was perfect. We would stay again.

We enjoyed staying there very much. We were there for several nights. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Nearby was a grocery store and a cafe which served excellent food. There was a walking trail at the end of the street that went into the woods. From there we were able to watch the Northern Lights. Awesome! In town was the Westfjords Adventure Tour Office. We had made reservations through them for a couple of wonderful tours. We attended a Lutheran Church service in town. It was in Icelandic but some of the music was familiar (and all enjoyable). Again, we enjoyed our stay there very much.

This was a great place to stay for my family of 5 (including two 8yr olds and a 5yr old). It has a full kitchen to cook in and a washer/dryer to catch up on travel laundry. Highly recommend if you are in the Patreksfjordur area!

Highly recommended The apartment is very well organized, even for 4 people. Comfortable sofa bed and a nice curtain that separates it from the living room. High technology... large TV Oven and microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer, along with all necessary products for their use. Sea view and delightful location. Bed was a bit hard for me, but nobody can please everyone in that regard.

Really nice spacious flat under the main house with private entry. Well equipped and everything worked well including WIFI (it always seems to in Iceland). Easy parking just a few meters away and plenty of classic glaciated landscapes and fjord scenery in the area. Good supermarket in the town, also petrol.

The spotless apartment is at the end of a quiet residential street overlooking the town. It's on the lower level, with the owner and family living above. The place is very spacious, with a large foyer, bedroom, well-equipped kitchen and sitting area, and a laundry/bathroom area with washer, dryer, and an excellent shower. The bed was comfortable, the view of the fjord was beautiful, and the location is great. Excellent hiking up the hillside behind the apartment, as well as convenient driving access to Dynjandi waterfall and the red sand beach. An excellent restaurant in the town (Stúkuhúsið) serves delicious lamb, fish and desserts. There's a good grocery store and a tourist office in town as well.

Host lives above and even though every effort was made to minimise noise, the floorboards did creak. The lighting in the lounge and bedroom was dim, a couple of blown globes. Warm LED’s would offer a better ambiance. Outside grass needed a mowing. A blackout blind on the window to the left of the entrance would be useful. No arrangement for recycling plastic. glass and cans, only paper and cardboard.

Spacious, fully equipped for self catering. Comfortable bed. Good black out in main bedroom, had one of the best sleeps in our 21 nights trip. Value for money in this location. Negatives below hinder a higher rating.

Super friendly owner onsite. Quiet, in a residential area. Apartment was very large and fully equipped for a longer stay. Comfy couches, great bed, even a washing machine! Nice photography books for your viewing pleasure.

Our Hostess let us know that the shower could use some work. Other than that it was a great place with lots of room.

We found the flat a bit charmless - especially the bathroom could do with some freshening up. There was almost too much stuff (strange complaint, I know) - so we had to guess which towels from the large heaps to use; also, finding things in the kitchen was a bit challenging. Finally, as we stayed in cabins for most of our trip, we noticed the noise from the flat upstairs - but in the evening it got quiet early.

Very large apartment with everything you might need. We were very happy that there was even a washing machine and a dryer. We also loved the coffee that was provided. You can reach a couple of restaurants on foot from this location.
