Owner was lovely, welcome book there with info on local area. Very well equipped kitchen area and nice choice for free breakfast. We had the family room, it was huge and had it's own toilet with shower. The accommodation is set in a rural location with stunning views. The secret lagoon is less than 5 minutes away in the town. Lovely Ethiopian restaurant in town too, definitely worth a visit. We loved our time at Skyggnir, thank you so much!

Beatiful cottage in the middle of nowhere. The owner is super friendly, you can find here shared living room, spacious and fully-equipped kitchen (also offers some food for breakfast) and two bathrooms for seven rooms. There are picturesque thermal baths nearby and we also saw aurora at night!

The shared bathroom with other gueszs because the B&B was fully booked and it was a bit crowded.

It was near the secret lagoon. The kitchen is shared with other guests, but we managed to come fist to cook dinner.

Good location to see the norther light, we were lucky to see. The room is small, toilette and shower are shared in the corridor. Breakfast is simple but enough. Good value for money if you are realistic.

You definitely need a car to come and visit, so it wouldn’t be suitable if you didn’t rent one as the public transport is extremely limited especially in winter. If you have a car, this place is perfect and really recommend.

Very well kept and clean property. The hosts were very kind and the facilities were great and felt very homely. There was parking available and it was very close to Secret Lagoon. The location was great as it allowed us to take day trips we wouldn’t be able to do from Reykjavik.

The kitchen was amazing and the best organization I've seen yet. Everything was labeled in 4 languages so you could find everything you needed without looking in every cabinet/drawer. The host also gave us very good information about restaurants and spas

The only problem was the large group occupying ALL the other rooms and overtaking the kitchen and the two common bathrooms, important if youd like to leave on time. But definitely not the fault of anyone especially not the hosts who were exceptionally kind and helpful

Great location from the golden circle close to secret lagoon. But best part is the staff - from the communication to the welcome to how thoughfully appointed everything was and labelled in 4 languages, with a fully equipped kitchen replete with every kitchen tool and spice mix to small amenities like freshly washed hair ties, the b&b is so homely and comfortable. The host has a lot of takeaway maps and guides and helped with a lot of local information that added great value and insight to our trip

There was not much to not like. However, there are only 2 bathrooms for 5 rooms (the 6th big room has an ensuite bathroom) so sometimes it can be competitive to use the bathrooms.

Silke and Stefaun were incredibly kind and helpful during our stay. We arrived a bit early before checkin and Silke gave us advice of what attractions and hikes (Fludir Tarn) we could do along the Golden Circle while we waiting for our room. The hosts are so thoughtful as to leave small candies on our beds when we first checked into the room. The breakfast was more generous than expected with coffee, tea, hot cocoa, many varieties of breads and cereal with milk, honey, yogurt, cheese, and butter. We had a comfortable full bed next to the large room and it was quiet at night, great for sleeping. We were able to see the northern lights right as we stepped out onto the farm field area outside the BNB. It was an incredibly wonderful stay at Skyggnir and we highly recommend it!! There was also a friendly black dog around. People were really friendly to share Iceland stories with. There is an awesome Ethiopian restaurant in Fludir along with the Secret Lagoon Hot Springs that were really great! They allowed us to borrow extra towels to bring with us to the Secret Lagoon. It was impressive they provide hand towels for use in the bathroom. It was very comfortable staying at Skyggnir BNB!

The shower cabin could have been cleaner.

It was cozy, a large house with a wonderful location that increases the chances of seeing the northern lights. A very kind and friendly host with a lovely dog and a horse. Breakfast ingredients are also included, and the kitchen is available for cooking. Coffee and tea are also provided.

The room is a bit tiny and it's difficult to settle the temperature as the radiator is very close to your head in the bed

A looot of equipements and the advice book is pretty cool take time to read it ! (we did some of our activities thanks to it !) + The host is very friendly

Happy with everything

Plenty of room. Very comfortable. Supplied everything needed for cooking and ENTERTAINING :) And lovely simple fresh breakfast supplied. Very Central for Golden Circle and South Iceland. Lovely host. Great value
