How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nice and clean room for a one night stay near the airport, at the start of our visit to Iceland. The breakfast was very good, lots of options to go with.

This hostel is close to the airport, so expect people to enter and leave at any moment in the night. Bring earplugs and an eye mask.
Friendly staff, large room, great breakfast for a reasonable price. Nice big bathrooms and shower.

The room was a little chilly at night, but the comforters on the bed were super warm.
Clean room with comfortable beds and a really nice buffet breakfast that starts early, if you have an early flight. The staff was exceptional. My husband was ill and they directed us to a nearby ER and checked in on us after we returned. They helped unload my car, gave us emergency numbers in case we had problems in the night, and were generally so kind.

Great double room with ensuite (in hotel which also has dorm rooms) close to the airport. Had use of kitchen and lounge rooms. We didn't have breakfast as we left very early but it was available from 4am! Friendly staff on front desk booked taxi for us.

Tricky with a shared bathroom between two rooms when you don’t know who the other occupant is, but it was very convenient to have it so close.
Perfect location for an early morning flight out. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We didnt get to enjoy breakfast but it looked amazing when we left at 4am

It’s quite far from the airport so I expect it would be expensive to reach by taxi.

I would particularly like to thank SZYMON at the front desk who was exceptionally helpful. We arrived in the midst of a huge storm which left hundreds of people stranded on the airport floor all night long. Szymon answered questions sent by email throughout the night and morning, booked the last room available, and upon arrival supplied an adapter to charge and ordered a taxi for the return. His colleagues were most helpful also. Thank you for dealing so well with a crisis for so many travellers! E. Blake

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Quiet neighborhood and quick ride to the airport. Breakfast is included and delicious. Staff was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions I messaged to them

Could have used a couple extra pillows. No TV-which is no biggie.
Great location, excellent staff! Great breakfast starting at 4am! Unheard of! This place is a gem!

Nothing bad to say, we stayed one night before picking up our campervan.
The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was very complete and open for many hours, the beds were comfy, the room was quiet, the shower was great.

This was a great hotel, perfectly located for the airport. Loads of parking, comfortable beds, breakfast from 4am which was incredible.. 24 hour coffee, tea, water etc. My son was delighted that it was located on the old American airbase and kept the feel of the original building. I would definitely use this hotel again when arriving late or leaving early from Keflavik.

A bit noisy, walls are thin and you can hear all the people walking on the corridor.
Great location, just next to the airport. Nice and helpful Polish-speaking staff. Room was rather basic but was enough to catch some sleep after the evening flight. Good value for money.
