As an old-fashioned person, I think the hotel would benefit from a broom and shovel, but that is such a minor thing that it’s barely worth mentioning.

The property was clean and inviting, all the wood cladding was just so beautiful. It was like a winter Lodge and with the snow outside it was really coming and wonderful. There is a secret bathroom behind a door which is a photo and that was very entertaining.

Great apartment, in middle of town. Able to walk everywhere but no problem if you have car. Clean, comfy and great staff. Highly recommend both for families and friends travelling together.

It was in the township, being fully isolated would have been preferable. It's northern Iceland so ... even in town you are remote.

Warm, cozy, full kitchen. comfy beds and living space. The owners were very accomodating. Also they were a wealth of information about Iceland and the Westfjords. Walking distance to food, gas and groceries.

Lighting is dim, which seems to be pretty common in the Nordic. It is a minor inconvenience that doesn't really justify a complaint.

Excellent location in a quiet corner of Ísafjörður. The Westfjords is one of our favourite places in Iceland and it's a shame we only stayed for 2 nights. The house has a rich history, although we were very much surprised by the eclectic theme of the house. It feels wonderful to be greeted by towering cliffs after stepping out of the house. The kitchen is very well-equipped and the nearby supermarkets are a great convenience. The apartment is warm and cosy. Bedrooms are comfortable.

We had a fantastic stay here in late September! We met our host to pick up the keys and he was so welcoming and kind. The apartment is perfect - very cozy, well decorated, and clean. Anything you might need is already there. We appreciated the comfortable beds, laundry, and coffee machine.

Absolutely love this place. Stylish, clean, warm and very comfortable. Got everything you need. You can find a full collection of spices, tea, various flavours of salts, and kitchen appliances for cooking; washing machine and a dryer for laundry; some alcohol drinks (extra cost) when you can’t make it for the liquor shop’s opening hour. The host was very kind and helpful. He let us checked in earlier and provided us with information about the nearby sightseeing spots when we couldn’t go with our plan due to the road conditions. We really appreciated his advice and would definitely recommend it.

Perfect location , just at the center of the town. A house full of history as it part of the whole building which is once the 18th century’s company’s office. The facility and decoration is marvelous, which indicates the host’s love of life.

One of the original 3 building locations in town. Nicely renovated. Enjoyed the record player. This is not a bare-bones kitchen like many are. Quality appliances and kitchenware, a full spice rack. Great views. Fantastic location. Very well run and maintained. The owners are easily contacted if needed.

The house is big and clean, American style. I extremely loves the vinyl records. The facilities in the kitchen is well-equipted and new too. I make a great dinner here. Kind owner.What's more, it is near to the beer factory bar. It is a good choice to have a beer with the family or friends at night !Wonderful stay.

Fabulous property. Has everything you will need on your holiday, including a washing machine and dryer which is a definite plus. The owner is a wonderful host and gave us a tour of the property which he is very proud of. Tangs is in the centre of town so restaurants, a fantastic bakery/cafe and the supermarket are all within easy walking distance.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Tangs in Ísafjörður. Despite its central location, the apartment is in a tranquil setting adjacent to a park. The building is historical, but the interior has been modernly renovated. However, it still preserves its old charm with thoughtful touches like displaying old carpentry tools behind glass and printing historical photos taken outside the building on the walls. One of these photos was so naturally integrated that we didn’t even realize there was a door behind it leading to the bathroom! The kitchen was extremely user-friendly and well-equipped. It had not only pots, pans, and cooking utensils, but also an abundance of coffee, tea, spices, and condiments—far more than we usually have at home, which we found incredibly convenient. There were also reasonably priced wine and beer available, and complimentary soda, including cola and orange juice. We only met the owner at checkout, but he was very kind and gave us excellent advice on a driving route. Thanks to his suggestion, we were able to see seals, which we would have missed otherwise. Although we stayed for only two nights this time, we would love to come back and stay longer on our next visit to Ísafjörður, especially to see the puffins again. Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful experience!

The apartment is in the historic building and it is big, well maintained and unique. Everything in the apartment was perfect and thought through (kitchenware, coffer pods, tea bags, etc.). Very good location. Beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed out stay. The host gave us some ideas what to see and what to do. 5 out of 5.

What a cool place! To find a spot like this in the Westfjords is just amazing! It was like a vacation on it's own. Comfy beds, large areas to sit, fully equipped kitchen, a huge shower, and the history of the building is so cool. We were thrilled and thankful to be able to see more of the building and meet our host - who was just delightful! The area is beautiful with tons to explore. Then once back at the house - it's easy to park and walk to lots of places to eat and drink.

Tangs is in a beautiful town. Isafjordur fit all our needs. We loved X country skiing wild valleys nearby. Tangs is perfect for exploring far and wide. Or just hanging out recouping. The owners are very kind and fun!!
