In my dorm there was just one window (not too big) at the end of the room. I had to open it all night because no one of the other guests (or the staff before arrival?) came up with the idea of ventilation. So the air in the bedchamber was pretty stifling and grumpy, which became better whilst opening the window the entire night time.

The hostel is a good option to stay in the area and don't spend that much money for your holidays. Check in was easy. The kitchen isn't too big when it gets crowded, but you can take turns with other people cooking there. Bathrooms and toilets have enough space and were very clean.

There are two more bunk beds in the double room which is weird and makes it really crammed. No space for your personal belongings. Nothing worked because it wasn't a touristic season.

The place is big and must be crowded during travelling season. We were almost the only people in the hostel plus one girl.

Friendly staff and definitely good value for money. There weren't (m)any other guests so it was really quiet. Nice room, close to Vök baths and the bar looked nice. Would've loved to spend an evening at the bar but it was closed when I got back from the baths..

The cleaning in the community areas. It felt a bit messy and dusty. In the morning we saw a boy cleaning the floor and the water in the bucket was turned black from all the dirt. Maybe change it one more time before cleaning the rooms with it. :)

A place with a vibe! Loved the cafe/bar area. Many bears to choose from. Also nearby some restaurants. People who work there where very friendly and helpful.

There were not enough mugs in the kitchen.

One of our favourite accommodations on this trip. The beds are new and sturdy, so you don't get disturbed by your neighbours turning. The shared space is lovely with couches and board games. You can also pop-in next door for drinks at the bar. The reception staff were both friendly and helpful. There's a laundromat next door with washers and dryers.

Rooms are tight, and it's a bit smelly outside - so don't open windows It's not the most comfortable place - but we knew in advance what to expect - and we got what we paid for. All in all - recommendations for this place.

The kitchen is really sad and poorly maintained. We really don't want to eat there, or even prepare food. However, the rest of the hotel is rather well decorated and welcoming, so it's a surprising contrast... it's a shame! The showers could be cleaner.

It’s a hostel with many people. Nothing bad, but you have to keep in mind that if you need calm place- its not it :)

It’s a busy hostel, but managed well. Clean and has everything you need. It has a bar- very good to have a glass in the same after long day in Iceland weather :)

To reach the bathroom and the showers you have to cross the common area, which is open and visible from the bar… unhandy The smell from the toilets was quite intense :( 4 toilets are not enough for the guests

The rooms are no frills and a little difficult storage wise, especially for the top bunk. The bottom bunks had a nice curtain for privacy and darkness but the top didn’t.

Great hostel bar and cafe with a small soup and dessert menu. The hostel had ample bathrooms and showers and was in a great location for exploring the surrounding area! We wish we would have booked a second night on our ring road trip to see more of East Iceland! Kitchen was a little small for the capacity of the dorms, but we still didn’t have any problems making dinner or breakfast. There is an open space living room and big back porch to socialize!

I was a little confused when I got there about the campground entrance vs. the hostel entrance. Could have been a little better marked. The hostel is accessed through the restaurant/bar.

Great location - the bus to Seyðisfjörður stops right in their parking lot, if you're taking the ferry to Faroe Islands/Denmark. Nice facilities, comfortable beds.
