The bathrooms and floors were often wet from guests using the small sinks. But this was not a huge deal! It was also a little outside of Vik which I did not realize but was not a problem.

The main building has reception, bar, kitchen and shared room. There’s a few building next door and opposite for individual room. So if the booking is an individual room, got to walk a few mins without shelter to the main building which has the bar, reception and kitchen. Vik is the place that has strong wind and during our time there, it’s a bit inconvenient for us to walk in a rain just to get to the kitchen.

We spend a night at The Barn, we like the design of the hotel, our room and the facility like a bar/restaurant, laundry services (28 euro per bag). The kitchen has the basic thing we need for cooking. Our room is big and warm in winter time :)

This was my second time at The Barn. Everything was perfect as it was 4 years ago, and the facility has even improved over time. When we arrived at The Barn, we asked if we could get an upgrade with a ensuite bathroom and they gave us a free upgrade. The room was a very adequate size and the bed was very comfortable. The Barn gave us an all-around excellent experience.

There's nothing I didn't like about this place.

I loved the location! It was a walking distance from Reynisfjara Beach. Spacious area, with very well equipped kitchen. There's a bar in the lobby, lots of private clean showers, cosy atmosphere. Recommended 100%!

The bedroom barely had space for the luggage of 5 persons, considering that it's a 8 person bed-room (4 couple beds) that could run a little bit out of space.

Stayed in a nice, clean and well-maintained 4-bed room dorm. The beds were nice and there was enough privacy with the curtains. The hostel contains all the required facilities: plenty of toilets, showers, a very well equipped and big kitchen. The staff was always very friendly and happy to help.

2 shower/toilets wasn’t quite enough for the floor. Having separate toilets would have been ideal instead of combined toilet/shower rooms as you’d sometimes be waiting for people to finish showering to be able to use the toilet.

Perfect amenities and clean hostel. We had a private room and it was a great size for a couple. Great kitchen / communal area. Loved having a coffee shop downstairs also.

Location was amazing, staff were very helpful. And friendly. We even got to see the Northern lights from outside the room. The facilities were very spacious and clean. Would highly recommend!

The beds are king beds for two people to share, this meant that you had to climb over each other if you had to get out of the bed.

The shared kitchen had a lot of equipment, therefore many guests could use it at the same time. Nice location near Reynisfjara beach, also enough free parking.
