No kitchen, no staff, the shower floor is slanted and the drain is on the high side of the floor so we need to constantly sweep the water up.

The rooms are neat and comfortable. Location is good, just about 20 min east from Jokulsarlon. We also happened to see beautiful Northern Lights in April just from our room. So our stay at Vagnsstadir will always be special for us.

The rooms are very small (we had a triple). No frills, very basic accommodation. There was a bad smell coming from the bath (other reviews mention this so it seems like an ongoing issue). There is no staff on the premises except for the morning during breakfast hours.

The location is very convenient to visiting the sites (diamond beach, lagoon, caves). Although there is no restaurant on site there are 2 hotels nearby which do have excellent food. Self check in process was easy. Beds were very comfortable. Having breakfast available on the premises was very convenient.

The guesthouse is a self check in, and we were given a wrong room with a wrong code twice on arrival. We had to contact the staff to have a room. It’s show management needs to improve as there were only 2 rooms occupied.

Could do with a few more gluten free options for breakfast, as my daughter does not like ham or cheese, so was just left with a hard boiled egg. She darent have the yoghurt as no labelling and many yogurts say packed in a gluten environment, so she couldn’t risk it.

Was easy to get to, very clean. A microwave in the hall was handy, we used it to heat up soup. Was able to book it just that afternoon for that night as we decided last minute we had to see Diamond Beach and would not have time to drive there & back to where we originally intended staying. The beds were really comfortable and it was lovely & quiet. No television. Captured a slight aurora on camera out of the window of the room we stayed in. All in all good value.

Parking lot resurfacing was a pretty big inconvenience after a long day, but it was done by morning. It was just a mild speed bump on an amazing journey. The guesthouse was spotless and the staff was amazing. I would 100% stay here again.

It looks like they forgot to install siphons in the shower - it smelled like sewage in the bathroom. We put the rubbish bin on top when not using the shower, that helped.

When we stayed there, there is an unpleasant smell. Either the previous people staying there or the cleaning products has certain scent.

The location was about 20mins away from Vatnajokull national park, the outside building is totally opposite of the room, it's very modern and cosy.

Rooms were clean and beds and linens were comfortable but pretty spartan. Coffee in rooms. Breakfast was good. Perfect stop as we were headed to Jokulsarlon Lagoon first stop in the morning.

Quite expensive considering what you get but great if you have to other choice :) There is no TV, which we don't mind, but if it's a deal breaker for you, now you know!

The rooms were modern and clean. Check-in was easy and the location is good if you want to see the auroras, unfortunately didn't get to see much as it was cloudy :/ Breakfast was okay, there wasn't much, but what was there, was quite good.
