SingaporeWe were upgraded to a ground floor room with a bigger room size, possibly for the handicap since the toilet is barrier free and had rail support. Not exactly sure if it is considered an upgrade.
Location is good and a short drive from hofn with ample parking. The hotel is nicely situated in a valley area with nice views of the plains and mountains. The room are spacious and nice but basic. Breakfast was good with nice scenery.

Canadathe breakfast is pricey for the offer, but there isn’t much around. very hard to see the entrance for the hotel from the road at night - make sure to have your gps on! the toilet and shower are in two different places. while it is ok, the mirror/vanity was strangely placed on the counter in the main space. not the best lighting or location to do your skincare routine.
The view was amazing and we had the chance to see the northern lights! the staff was friendly and helpful. they answered ahead of our arrival and helped with setting up a welcome surprise for my partner. the room was spacious and clean. the beds were comfortable and we were able to fall asleep looking at the sky. very quiet and isolated, with easy parking. we were at a good distance of activities in the Vatnajökull park, but also short distance to Hofn, where there were great restaurants.

Italyeasy to find since entering the hall despite the big dimensions it returns a warm feeling the rate is the lowest we had while in iceland we've been assigned room 105 spacious bright and clean facing the mountain ridge on the back (as we understood only the even rooms have view on the glasier) staff is available and professional parking is free just at the entrance we definily recommend the internal restaurant where we had excellent food at the regular (high) price for iceland

The room was amazing, we had a 180 clear view and a balcony we could watch the northern lights from. Shower and bath were perfect and the bed very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful and prepared a welcome surprise for our celebration

Nice staff in the restaurant, good management of the bigger travel group. Limited offer in the restaurant but very nice cooked. Fantastic room with 180 view (no. 220). Very good place to visit the glacier lagoon (45 min) and Stokksnes ( 5 min).

Austriaall the family rooms don't have the nicer view (to the glacier), but the view to the mountains. given that family rooms already cost a lot, it would be nice to also allow them the nicer view.
Nicely located hotel with spectacular views. delicious food. very helpful staff - we had to leave one day earlier, and Anna from reception arranged everything perfectly for us. very nice breakfast area and very good breakfast.

The setting is beautiful and even our non-premium room had a view of the glaciers. The restaurant and breakfast were good and the staff is so courteous and professional. Top notch!
