I liked everything

The hotel is fantastic given the Icelandic standards. Additionally it has a cossy design and very comfortable rooms. The size of the room is much bigger that usual and everything is very cleaned. The breakfast was very good. staff was nice and very polite. the building is close to the ring road , but you cannot hear the cars passing.

Seeing just one member of staff being on site doing everything. ( and she managed to keep a smile on her face ).

Location, food and the one member of staff that was working a 14+ hour shift doing everything except catching the fish for dinner .

We enjoyed the property, but it is important to understand that it is about 10 KM from Vik, so if you’re looking for shopping or restaurants, just know that you’ll need to drive to town for those things - which was no problem for us. We actually liked the peace and quiet of the location.

The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The bed and bedding was comfortable. It was nice to have the option to order food in advance for dinner, because the location is rural. We ate onsite the first night and stopped in Vik at the end of the next day to grab dinner there before we headed back to the hotel for the evening. Breakfast was adequate / normal European offerings and they offered to make fresh scrambled eggs, which was a nice touch. The staff was helpful in answering questions about the area. Availability of onsite parking was convenient.

No restaurant so it’s 5km to Vík to get an evening meal, Shower had no base hence a lot of water on the floor, breakfast could be improved (add more cooked options instead of offering scrambled eggs only), coffee was good though, TV only has Netflix (but don’t use your own account), no tea/coffee making facility, the cost for one night but this is Iceland

Simple basic room. No katle/ coffee making option. A refrigerator in room or even in public area will be very helpfull. I felt it was a bit expensive compared to other places we have been in.

What didn't I like? I don't understand the question.

This hotel has basically become a second home to my wife and I. The owners, staff, rooms, views and food is honestly all we need at this point when we travel to Iceland each and every year. Just good, honest and lovely people working very hard and around the clock to ensure guests have an exceptional experience.
