Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LuxembourgThe bathroom smelled mold and were given just one toilet paper roll for 2 days, we had to ask for another one. The actual problem for me was that in the very middle of my mattress there was a spike that hurt my during the night, it should definitely be replaced for the safety of customers..keep this in mind if you are given with the room D on the 1st floor.
Very central position

RomaniaThe shower head is not that easy to use, maybe it can be changed with a flexible one instead of the fixed one. You can hear some noises when other people are moving in the hall.
The location is perfect. The room is quite big. You are near everything. The check in process was smooth and easy. I would have liked to be able to check out later than 10, but anyway we had plans and we had to wake up in the morning. There is free parking nearby. You just have to cross the street to go to the boats that are going to the 3 islands.

AustraliaGenerous sized room with decent bathroom facility. Located inside old town centre, and exceptionally close to the parking area, it was great for a short stay to have dinner, walk the lake foreshore, and of course to take the ferry or motor boats to the Borromean Islands. The host Carlo arrived promptly when we arrived and check-in was very simple.

United KingdomAs our bus wasn't leaaving until 4pm, we had nowhere to leave our belongings; however a local hotel did this.....and we bought them some biscuits as a thank you. There is little to dislike as this was a good deal for the location and length of our stay(one night). The train terminal was having building improvement works, so the luggage storage area was shut!
A great central location in the heart of town, good response to communications from host, a clean room which was perfect for a couple touring utilising public transport. The bed was cosy and the bathroom had room to move about in to get ready

Italythere is not enough light in the bedroom , nor next to bed to read a book . there was a hot water boiler , great ! but a suggestion : ceramic mugs for tea or coffee would be better than plastic cups .

United StatesThere was no light!!! A light on one wall provided as much light as a church candle. Two tiny lights by the bed were like flashlights. We could see our clocks but not read anything, unless we brought our books and maps into the bathroom. Absolutely no light for the large desk. The television was above the desk. We're we supposed to turn on the TV to light the desk? It is amazing that the hostess wants this beautiful room to be like a cave. Also, there was a refrigerator in the room, but it was broken. The room description said minibar, but that is dishonest ih it is broken.
Great location. The room appeared beautiful when we first entered. Comfortable bed and we'll designed bathroom.

United KingdomYou have to get the key from a restaurant nearby. It opens for dinner and as we arrived during the day, it was closed. Then you need to phone the number on the booking and wait for someone to arrive and check you in. As the location is very central, it can be a bit noisy. Shower cubicle is a bit small.
Great central location Very clean Good size room and bathroom We asked for a kettle and it was provided

United StatesIt was a bit warm in the room. There was a unit in the room for heating and perhaps cooling. But, I was not sure how to work. I still slept well with the window open.
Perfect location central in Stresa near restaurants, shops and the boat landing for the Borromean Islands. Easy quick check in, simple, clean, good size rooms and efficient. Economical. It does not include breakfast…We had a cappucino and pastry at a bar around the corner like the Italians. Perfect since we wanted to catch an early ferry to Isola Bella.

Czech RepublicWe liked the central location - a few steps to the stunning lake, all cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops are around (also close to the main hotels like Regina Palace with a nice inside swimming pool open to the public for an average fee), beautiful and neat house, comfortable quiet room and polite host. Will be happy to stay there again.

BulgariaEverything was ok.
The location is just perfect - 1 min away from the port, 1 min away from the restaurants, just behind the municipality. The apartment was very clean and comfortable for a short and long stay. I recommend. Good value for money. There is a fridge. Only a coffee machine was missing for us, but there are a lot of early opened cafes nearby.
