The post stated that we'd have a private bathroom but we had to share it with everybody else staying in our floor. Also, most of the times, the wifi didn't reach our room.

Lights don’t work in the Bathroom. If the rooms are in the corner, wifi signal doesn’t reach the room. Once you enter the building, there’s some sort of Pungent smell which really has to be taken care of.

located in the heart of Venice this is an excellent hostel and location to explore the city. Close to the water bus stop and on the main route to through the city it is also the perfect place to retreat at the end of the day with a cold beer on the lower back terrace. Friendly and helpful staff.

The bed was a bit uncomfy, but you only sleep 8hours a day ;)

They recieved me after hours and kept in touch with me to check my arrival time to be available at front desk. Helped me with finding places where to eat late at night

There is nothing I didn't like. I love everything about this hostel located at a Italian Palazzo.

I loved been at this hostel. I made friends all from over the world. Angelina, the genesrl.manager was very helpful. The hostel is very clean. They clean thw rooms everyday.

The whole floor had a horrible smell, like water in which cut flowers have long been rotting away. The room was extremely cold, so you had to wear a lot of clothes to be able to sleep. Also the bed felt kind of humid. I just felt extremely uncomfortable and could not sleep a lot.

No name plate outside, can't locate property without calling them. Initial walking to property was bit effort taking due to narrow lanes, inaccurate maps My booking was cancelled by property after I checked out.. not sure why. City tax was collected in cash without any receipt. Could have been included online No elevator. Good luck carrying big suitcase 3 stories up. No canal view from property

The location. The location is quite good actually, but since the area is not too touristy, it can be quiet and dark, which can be a bit dangerous I think. Also, there was only small size indicating the hostel on the door, so you have to read the owner’s instruction properly.

Feels homey. All the antiques stuff were potentially be amazing attraction but somehow the owner just doesn’t care lol. But its good, it doesn’t breathe ‘hostel’ or ‘hotel’ so yeah, it feels like home. Plus, the room is unexpectedly big for a decent hostel.

The wifi didn't reach my room and it was a little cold at night, but those are both issues many place in Venice at the time of year I went.

The location, and the kindness of the receptionist when I had to arrive ridiculously late. In a place it's easy to get lost in the location being so close the Rialto was comforting. The facilities are basic but functional and clean.

The mattress wasn't that good, and the internet didn't work well at all times, and for one day it didn't work at all.

The location was really great. It's really close to the Rialto bridge. I really did enjoy the Walk every day back to the hostel.

the bed it’s absolutely uncomfortable there it’s only one bathroom with the broken shower it’s really cold everywhere except the room 2 of the 3 days I spent there the light went off and one time no one fix it after half an hour when I was looking for someone to turn it on (in the night)

Everywhere was extremely dirty, the kitchen, bathroom and the room were terrible, I couldn’t even cook because the smell and how dirty the things been at kitchen: table, ground, fridge, the smell of the trash, everything, was disgusting. The bathroom was terrible too, the shower full of hairs, the toilette stuck, always papers on trash without a thing to cover. The room was dirty and smells too.

The location was perfect. The staff guy was nice but didn’t talk english or italian, so was hard to comunicate.

The bed was a bit hard for my teste.

Perfect location close to Rialto bridge. Nice and helpful staff. Kitchen gave possibility of simple cooking and making own breakfast. Cozy rooms with art paintings on the walls. In living room there were traces of fresco paintings on the walls, something you don't expect on a relatively cheap hostel. The central heating was working. Everything was clean.

I would absolutely not recommend this place. The staff was nice and location was perfect, but even though it is not worth the money… I booked a bed in four’beds room. It turned out that there are five beds and six people… The common places were just awful:( I wouldn’t come back there

The common kitchen was ruled by a cat and therefor smelled like a cat.

When I just came, receptionist showed me the kitchen and kindly proposed to eat the leftovers from other guests. Also there was a terrible smell in this kitchen. There was a bathroom at the floor, but it had no hot water, so if you were willing to take a shower you had to go to another part of the building. Hairdryer was at the reception, so you had to take it with you when you need it and then return. One day it disappeared and stuff couldn't do anything about it. It was really cold in my room all the time. I guess it won't be a problem in summer, but I didn't see any air conditioner there either. I've received no towel and when I asked they said I should pay for it in addition. Fun fact: at the last day they decided to make my bed and took the towel away. They also made me pay "pledge" for key from a locker, but newer returned the money 'cause when I was leaving it was no one from stuff there.

The cleanliness of the kitchen was appalling... some of the drawers had not been washed for 6 months, and there was a strong smell of frying throughout our stay. Although this is self-service for all hotel guests, it is important to ensure a minimum of cleanliness for guests. Very disappointing in this regard, especially as I was planning to save money on my trip by using this kitchen.

ai boteiri is really well placed in the city, close to the rialto bridge. the rooms are quite correct, although there was no radiator in our room.
