Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThere was a little bit of clutter in the hallway, but it didn’t really bother me.
The building was beautiful, the location was spectacular. The room was very, very clean, spacious, and the bed was super comfortable. The balcony was lovely. The hallways were a little bit cluttered as if they were doing renovations or something, and that’s the only negative thing I have to say. It was really a great little hotel with super friendly staff.

HungaryI left the Id for scan at the reception, and 10 minutes later I went back for it. receptionist was not there, but my id was on the table unsecured. It would not be major problem, but without it I can not travel home, so I take care of it very serios. after the kind gentleman told me come back in 20 minutes. Finally I receiced it. The ID card for a traveller is the most basic thing, so please handle it with more safe.

United StatesJust the toilet position . Creamed in the corner. Challenging to use.
Loved almost everything except the bathroom. I paid a small amount and got the bathroom with a toilet that was cranked into a corner and a slight challenge to use. I'd pay more for a better room next time because the staff and location are outstanding. I stay in Genova every year for a few nights before my transatlantic cruise home.

HungaryThe room was a bit cold, we couldn't get the air conditioner to provide efficient heating, but the blankets were warm, so for a one night stay it was not really a problem.
The albergo is very close to Brignole station and has a central location. Our room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, we even had a balcony. The receptionist does not speak much English, but we managed to understand each other in mixed italiano and English. He was very helpful and the reception is open 24/7.

SerbiaThe furniture in the room was a bit older, giving the space a somewhat dated feel. The bathroom, while clean, also looked quite old and could benefit from some updates to match the charm of the building.
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, which is located right in the heart of the city. The building itself is a charming, historic structure, adding a lot of character to the overall experience. It's just a 3-minute walk from the train station, making it incredibly convenient for travelers. The accommodation was comfortable, with a very cozy bed that ensured a good night's sleep. While the furniture was a bit dated, it still fit the overall charm of the place, and everything was in good working condition. One of the highlights is definitely the neighborhood. It’s a beautiful part of the city, full of lovely streets to explore, and plenty of great cafes and shops nearby. All in all, it's a great choice if you're looking for a central location, a unique setting, and a comfortable stay for night or two.

IrelandI found the hotel a bit difficult to locate. There is a signpost outside the building which looks like an office block. It is a multi use building. The hotel is in the 5th floor but it was not well signposted.
Clean comfortable hotel, friendly staff, close to Train station.

Romania-Minibar did not cool very well -Wifi had a lot of downs (could not connect in the room, we had to connect in the hallway and stay very close to the door in order to stay connected) -Very thin walls and no soundproofing, you can hear everything from the other rooms and the hallway -The furniture in the room is quite outdated -Bathroom was quite small, shower was hard to use (only rainfall shower head), shower cabin was quite small
-Decent size room -Comfortable, huge bed -Location is good, very close to the Brignole train station and the Volabus from/to the airport -Room was clean -Hotel staff was always very attentive, they let us leave the luggage at the hotel -Big TV, remote did not initially work properly, it was resolved eventually -New elevator, very beautiful building -Small terrace was a very nice addition -There was a mosquito repellent provided in the room, make sure to use it if you're staying during the season -Our room was geography themed -AC was a bit old, but worked just fine -24/7 reception service -Decent value for money

United StatesThe Internet could have been more stable. It would drop at times, and lose connectivity, to the point where I had to use cellular data and hotspot.
The staff was friendly and welcoming. The location was good, with breakfast, food and drinks, shopping options nearby. Overall good long weekend stay. I would stay again when in town.

AustraliaNo daily room cleaning.
The entry in Booking.com said it was near Brignole Station, and it certainly was. Less than a few minutes walk. The albergo is on the 5th floor, but the lift is efficient and readily available. The stairs are also wide, and clean! Antonio and the staff are friendly and eager to assist. As well as being close to the railway station (on the direct route to the Cinque Terre towns), the albergo is located on a major shopping street, and is well served by buses and the Metro. Yet this busyness does not distract from getting a good night's sleep - very quiet. There is a fridge, and a kettle, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom large.
