How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The quality of the linen and beds was not as good as expected. In general, it is an aged facility.
The location is perfect! The inner courtyard is fabulous and the staff is friendly.

Everything was good
Great location, nice hotel. Very helpful staff. We had problems finding the parking as there were road closures and our GPS kept sending us around in circles, staff helped us find the car park by a different route. Breakfast was nice and the breakfast room was well set up. We had a triple room and it was very comfortable

The shower was just large enough but being picky here
The location was superb! Tucked down a cosy vicolo just off Piazza Della Loggia, surrounded by some wonderful eateries and quiet at night. Decent size room

The window opened to an inner, very narrow yard. The air conditioner had to be used all the time.
Placed within 500 metres from the Brescia Dome, close to the heart of the old city, close to public and cheap parking, numerous rrestaurants and markets. Old, stylish furniture in an old, classy residence. Excellent breakfast.

Quite a few steps to my bedroom, and up to the bathroom.

If we had had more information about parking beforehand that would have been really helpful. You have to be very careful about driving into the city´s inner zone, as the fines are excessive. (We did a couple of circuits before opting for the undergroud carpark just before the tunnel,as you enter the old town. This was an excellent find and only 10 euros for 24 hours, so not all doom and gloom.)
The location was fabulous,as you were minutes from everything,with restaurants next door and opposite. The staff on reception were super friendly and helpful. Their Engñish was super. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is a great base to explore this gem of a city. We would definitely return.

The staff at this hotel clearly do not understand hospitality. Their smiles felt superficial, and their attitude was dismissive. Despite the checkout time being 11:00 AM, when I was almost ready to leave at 11:20 AM, they repeatedly knocked on the door and rudely demanded that I leave. Additionally, the lobby toilet was out of service, and the check-in time was strictly enforced at 2:30 PM. If you arrive early, like at 1:00 PM, you are left with no choice but to find somewhere else to wait. Overall, the level of rudeness and lack of accommodation I experienced at this hotel was unlike anything I have encountered in my worldwide travels. It seems they may have been overwhelmed by the Mille Miglia event and assumed guests would accept subpar service. Plus, WIFI is out of service after mid-night.
The location is wonderful, the room is clean, you can even have a peek of the Paul VI Square, close to everything.

The free parking mentioned in the description is actually located near the castle, located high up, which represents a considerable effort to get there when, like me, you have respiratory problems.
The location in the city center is ideal. Even if access to the area is prohibited for unauthorized cars, simply provide your license plate number to the hotel staff so that they can do what is necessary so that you can, at the very least, unload your luggage before leaving to park your car in another location.

This isn’t really a complaint: the breakfast had plenty of choice, continental style, but it would have been nice to have say boiled eggs on offer. (There was cold ham and cheese, of course, as well as lots of cakes and yoghurt.) Some Italian guests were very noisy at 1am, but not the hotel’s fault.
Superb location. The room was charming with lovely turn of the century furniture. Staff friendly and helpful.
