How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Great location, great communication. Most of the popular tourist destinations were within walking distance. Lots of cafes and restaurants right outside your door.

Bathroom shower was a little bit tiny but manageable. Toilet lid was out of place and needs repairing. Also warm blanket would be nice, we managed with plaid but real blanket would be nice :)

Stayed for the first time in September and came again in January, even the same room. Thankfully some issues I had the first time were fixed and this stay was even better! Everything was great, from the position to the staff. Would recommend!

Everything was great, but we would prefer a little table where you could sit to drink your morning coffee/tea.. Other than that nothing bad to report.
The location is superb!! Everything is within walking distance, Vatican is really close. The apartment is spacious enough. We were there in December and the heating worked great it wasn't cold at all. The hosts were great at communicating and answered all our questions. Would stay with them again...

It was a really surprice, I have been in Rome once before but no expert. We did love the room, facilities, cleaning, information and the area. A kitchen with all you need outside the door, fridge in room, warm shower and good beds. What more do you need? And yes, water kettle and tea/coffe etc in the room. Nice for tired adventurers with big painful feets. (Your eyes are like my feets. Big, moisty and tender), romatic compliment to a girl. -:) The surroundings are so local and fascinating, real italian and beautiful "lived in". No feeling of tourists, and that is amazing! The streets around is absorbing my mind, difficult to walk because it take so long time, so many views, history, details and architecture. The good vibrations penetrate our minds. Bus close, and easy to go by, we tested different apps, but Google Maps was best. Look for target for todays visit. Click bus/train and all comes up. Choose the one that fit you best. START! We have thretend to come back and have recommended the little gem to our friends. All best Bo and Asta from Sweden.

Room was clean. Location is close to mayor historical monuments in Rome. Taxi stops are also close. Bed were really comfortable.

Softer pillows and warmer hot water. Ran out of hot water while taking a shower.
Good location. Very nice room and beautiful antique furniture. Staff was very helpful in getting us transportation to the airport at 3:15 am.

Nothing here, the whole experience was very good.

Very clean & comfortable. Great that there was a lift rather than carrying bags up flights of stairs! The personnel was very helpful & communicated clear instructions about checking In & checking out. Appreciated baggage storage availability.

The location was very central, we were only a few minutes walk from the Vatican, Piazza Navona, and about 30 minutes from the Colosseum. The area was safe, very clean and had a good selection of restaurants and bars close by. The accommodation was high quality, the host was really helpful and responsive. Would recommend this place, it was excellent.

Just some little things but nothing bad: the toilet water kept running after flushing, had to stop it by pressing again after 10 mins every time. The mini fridge makes some noise sometimes, just unplugged it
Very nice and cozy room. Private bathroom and other amenities like a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. Extremely comfortable bed! Great position, very central and safe.

Shower is a bit odd, water suddenly goes from warm to cold. It’s actually a big apartment divided into rooms (with private a bathroom), but we had privacy and it was not noisy luckily.
Amazing location, city center. Everything is like in the pictures. Host waited for us even though we arrived later than the usual check in.
