How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Nothing, we had a fantastic stay and enjoyed a very genuine Italian experience.
We arrived much earlier than expected for a two night stay but we were still made to feel very welcome and permitted to check in early. We even scored an upgrade to a room with a balcony, which was a great spot to come back to after dinner for a coffee and glass of wine. The room was very clean and very comfortable, as was the bed. The location was very quiet but still only a short walk to the main shopping/dining areas.

Could find no fault
Well thought out layout. Clean with efficient and friendly staff. In our 5 week trip through Italy and Croatia, this property was outstanding.

Beautiful, spacious room with kitchenette (handy for tea and coffee) and a huge bathroom with a great shower. Excellent location for sightseeing and restaurants. Host gave us lots of advice on both, which proved really useful. Breakfast was very good too.

I can't think of anything!
The perfect location, in the centre of Ravenna centro storico, just an easy walk from almost all the wonderful sites. Our rooms were very comfortable, with plenty of space for unpacking, and mine with a wonderful terrace, sadly not used as the weather was not so kind! Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice and a local treat included. Michele was incredibly helpful with our car, our bags and explaining how to find certain places, including a very good restaurant recommendation.

I was very happy with villa Noctis
The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Charming surroundings, many places to sit and read and enjoy the surroundings.

Fabulous place, spotlessly clean with lovely friendly and professional people. The room was bright with a massive and very comfortable bed. Discounted breakfast only steps away in a bakery with cakes from heaven and happy staff. We honestly can not say anything negative about our stay and genuinely look forward to coming back.

From the central location in historic Ravenna, through the lovely continental breakfasts & loaner bicycles, to help with on attractions, dining & even mailing fragile souvenirs home to the U.S., Villa Noctis exceeded all expectations & was an abolute delight. Highly recommended!

It has the big three: location, comfort, and service, plus secure off-street parking. Michele will even park your car for you. It’s within easy walking distance to all the important sites. There is no lift. The room had air conditioning. Ravenna is an interesting and pleasant city. The tourist information office organizes good walking tours.

No issues at all.
This was an exceptional find! comfortable, quaint, a great value and in a great location. A huge plus was the extremely welcoming host family. I highly recommend this place and definitely would return.
