We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyThe check-in process should be optimized - possible with pre-registration like passport photo via WhatsApp etc. and a key lock at the door for example...or describing the two restaurant places who handle check-in. It's OK to take the keys in a restaurant but it should be clearly described in the automatic text message which restaurant should be it as the one in the text (in the same building) was closed and it was the one across the small square (being the same restaurant) - which I found out late. The solo waiter there was overworked handling everything and could handle my check in just after another 20 minutes or so (after me trying to contact around for 30') . There is also some stagnant air in the fridge area which results in moldy smell. Overall many fixable things if one cares about it and would want to charge more.
Location is fantastic! The room I had (#4) is was spacious with a little balcony overlooking the small piazza. Overall happy for the one night. I wanted to stay an hour longer than check out 10:30 and was able to do so, even though the cleaning lady didn't get the info. I informed the check-in waiter who OK'ed it and the owner(?) who didn't respond. The cheapest place in Taranto with some issues yet thanks to the room I got it was an OK stay despite the bad reviews before which I wanted to see for myself.

Czech RepublicThe place was infested with ants. Water in shower was hardly ever hot, mostly just cold coming out in dribbles. While raining water was pouring under balcony door, thin walls so you could hear anything that happens in the house and the bed and pillows were really uncomfortable.

A day before my accomodation start i sent the host a msg via booking but i got no answer, I called him on his number and always no response, the only automatically generated message i got is that i can collect the keys from the bar located in the same place as the appartement. Whene I arrived to the location i've been shocked that the bar was closed and the host still not answering. I started thinking about going to hotel to spend my night in. 2 hours later i got a message from the host informing me that i can have the keys by 19h at the bar. I aked him why he doesn't answer my calls and messages and he told that he have over 80 rooms to manage and that hard... 😑 After 3h30min of waiting finally the bar opens and they told me thay i have to wait because they don't have the keys for my booking. I got another keys for an other room so i had to walk for 15min to get to the new location and even asked me to change the room in the next day 🙃

CanadaWhen we arrived they did not have a room for us. They called around and found us a room at another Bnb. They told me to cancel online and they would refund my money. Months later and they haven’t refunded my money. They won’t answer any of my emails, what’s app messages or messages I have sent them through booking.com. Booking.com customer service says they can’t help me because it’s past our check out date. If you choose to reserve a room here be warned that you may not actually get a room and your money may just disappear.

United KingdomThe moment you enter the room the extremely strong smell of cigarets is just killing you. The staff /a girl in the bar beneath/ who acts like a receptionist is extremely rude and impolite. Despite the rooms being free, she made as wait for hours to check into the room with little care and no English spoken. Very rude even if you try to ask her something she just ignores you. Spend a bit more but dont stay in this place - not worth!
First, the property is located in a small square in the old town making it a convenient spot to explore the city. Overall it was well equipped with a relatively large room.

United StatesThe room was horrible. There was no furniture except for the bed which was up in a loft with a very low ceiling. There was nowhere to even sit. The shower door was completely broken off and just leaning against the inside of the shower. The toilet had no seat. There was no Wifi. The pictures shown on Booking.com are not from this room. The property is misrepresenting the room that is being reserved which is fraud. Horrible experience, avoid this place at all costs. I wish I could give it a 0.
