Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineWe chose this hotel because we wanted to visit Sorrento and explore nearby Positano, Amalfi, and Pompeii. We stumbled upon this town by chance, and its proximity to major tourist attractions made it the perfect base for our trip. We are incredibly grateful to the hosts, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They allowed us to check in early, provided us with extensive information about local attractions, and were always available to assist us with anything we needed. Their hospitality truly made our stay memorable. We booked a room with breakfast included, and every morning we enjoyed delicious pastries, juice, yogurt, and unlimited coffee and tea. The room itself was outstanding—furnished with new, stylish furniture, spacious, and equipped with a working air conditioner, TV, and a nice bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. We were particularly impressed with the hotel’s beautiful terrace, offering stunning views of Mount Vesuvius. We spent every morning there, enjoying our breakfast while taking in the breathtaking scenery. The hotel is also very quiet, with thick walls that ensured a restful night’s sleep. The only downside is that the hotel is located on the fifth floor of a building without an elevator. However, we were aware of this from previous reviews, so it wasn’t an issue for us. Once again, a huge thank you to the hosts for providing such a wonderful stay. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

United KingdomNothing it was brilliant!
Paolo was a really lovely host who gave us plenty of recommendations for the local area that made our stay perfect! The accommodation was very clean, an en-suite bathroom, and self service breakfast every morning. Perfect location right in the centre of the city and just a short walk to the harbour with sunset bars.

SloveniaVery helpful and friendly owner, comfortable and clean room with a nice bathroom. You can have breakfast or beers on the terrace. The location is great, a walking distance from the Castellammare train station.

United KingdomThe whole property looked so new, like it had been renovated yesterday, but had every thoughtful amenity like coffee, hairdryer and sensor lights on entry. The owner was so kindly accommodating and helpful with extensive knowledge of the local area that helped us plan our days. There’s just so much to do we will have to come back and we will definitely be staying here again as well as recommending it to people. Fantastic location, spacious bedroom and great terrace all made it a wonderful place to spend our time.

AustraliaNote if you have accessibility issues, there's no lift/elevator and the room is a few floors up. Bag drop off before check-in (3pm) is limited on weekdays and requires prior coordination, which was fine for us.
Communication, cleanliness, value for money. Close to the train station, restaurants and laundrette. We appreciated the basic breakfast supplies provided.

United KingdomI didn't like having to leave Castellammare di Stabia.
Comfortable, freshly modern, spotlessly clean accommodation in a historic building located in the authentic old town. The terrace is secluded and the rooftop solarium a private sun trap with a colourful view of Vesuvius across the Bay. Nearby little shops, Gelateria, cake shop and bakery, greengrocers, laundry, cafes and restaurants, and sights and sounds of Castellammare. Across the road the marina and a little walk along the shoreline, wonderful at night with families and couples, children all out for an evening stroll. The spirit and genuine welcome of my host Paolo, who went out of his way to ensure I enjoyed the warmest, happiest experience of Italy was exceptional. I feel I had met a genuine true friend who successfully reinforced my faith in humanity.

AustraliaThe fridge is a share one for all the rooms, I would prefer a small fridge in the room.
The property was clean, new (only inside, not the building), and good located.

RomaniaIt should be noted that you will have to climb 4 levels, but Paolo will help you with your luggage if necessary. The building is a condominium and the access to the common hall is visually disturbing (it is clean, but degraded) because in such buildings it is complicated to rehabilitate the common space of the building (monument building). The breakfast is Italian type, so very simple at the moment (in the immediate vicinity you will find cafes and shops if necessary).
The location is in the central area next to a large parking lot (20 euros/day) with quick access to the seafront promenade. The rooms are elegantly furnished and new, there is a common area with a kitchen and a dining room with access to two terraces above the building with a very beautiful view (the second terrace is being renovated). Due to the location in an old building, the walls are very thick and it is very quiet all the time, even if the location is in the noisy center of the city. The windows face the quiet area of the city. The host (Paolo) is wonderful and will help you in all respects and with a lot of information about the area and not only that, it is a pleasure if he has time to sit and tell stories. The room is very spacious and everything is new.

SerbiaThe flat and rooms are renovated, but the building is old. The haustor and the staircase are old, and it feels damp. Also, towels were not clean.
The host is very friendly and helpful. Large terrace with a beautiful view
