There was a sudden temperature drop on the weekend we were there and the rooms were a bit chilly - so if we just stayed in the room to rest a bit in the afternoon or watch TV, we needed the big warm blankets!

The hotel location is great with many bars and restaurants in the same street as the hotel. Room had old time charm, it was very welcoming and presentable. Please stay here if you are visiting Como.

We stayed here for the last night of our honeymoon after two nights in Bellagio and arrived somewhat bedraggled following a ten minute walk in the rain from the Como ferry station. (It seems that hailing or booking a taxi on the fly in Como is as difficult as we had heard). We were greeted by two staff on reception who were absolutely lovely and got us checked in and on our way to our room in no time. Having dumped our bags, we made our way down to the bar/cafe/breakfast room for a couple of negronis. The lovely woman on reception was just going off shift and spent some time with us in the cafe which was great as we are both learning the language. Our room on the second floor was excellent. Clean, spacious and complete with tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was very comfortable with quite a firm mattress. The shower was fab. The hotel is located approximately 10 minutes on foot from the centre of Como and 5 minutes walk from the Como San Giovanni railway station. Although slightly off the beaten track, there are at least a couple of great places to eat within a couple of minutes walk. We ate at the very popular "Pizzeria in Borgovico" (the menu of which goes way beyond pizza) which was excellent. The "Figli dei Fiori Bistrot" is right next door to the hotel and is, by all accounts, very good too.

We asked for a triple room with single bed. The twin bed mattress did not fit the length of the bed frame it would be suitable for a child but not quite comfy for an adult.

Facilities were nice, clean and secure. Room and bathroom were spacious.

The 1 night stay in Como was wonderfull, outstanding, because of the hotel staff and the cosy clean french room that we have. Even though the weather was chill and rainy, our stay was perfect because of the Borgo Antico Hotel . We will have such a beautifull memories about Como again , thanks to the Borgo Antico Hotel. We appreciated both the lady that helped us with the check in and gave us good recomandations , and the gentelman from the chek out, who waited us with a very very good, tasty and varied breakfest at a very early hour, The room and the entire hotel was so clean , we had a very good night in a very comfortable bed. The location was on a quiet street in the city center, close to the tourist attractions. Congratulations to the hotel manager and the staff ! Definetly it is a 4 star hotel and I gave 10 points for the front desk staff.

warm food options for breakfast could be improved, currently they only have boiled eggs, but it would be great to have other items. One of the staff members (tall, neck tattoos) was extremely rude to me. I had an issue with my room's bathroom door and he was extremely hostile and unhelpful. All the other staff members were lovely but this man made me very uncomfortable.

Nice clean rooms, nice breakfast, easy check in and check out. Most of the staff were very lovely and friendly and helped me with any queries or issues I came across. The hotel is just a 10 minute walk to the harbour, main square, and ferry terminal and a 5 minute walk to Como San Giovanni station.

Location, staff was extremely helpful and kind. The breakfast had fresh fruit (berries, melon, pineapple), yogurts, granola, smoked salmon and the staff made me the best cappuccino I’ve had during our stay in Italy. Room was big, shower was spacious and water pressure very good.

We were led to believe that there was on-street parking available, but were directed to 24 hr parking, a short walk away (pulling our heavy luggage), which was much more expensive, at 24 eu (although the gate opened without us inserting the paid-for-ticket - so we might of got it for free, but we did not want to take the risk - maybe number plate recognition was in place?). The TV was limited with no streaming services available and the breakfast was, again, rather limited.

Lovely, boutique hotel, with all the facilities necessary for a comfortable nights’ stay.
