Our stay at Borgo Baccile was in one word fantastic!! Everything was beyond our expectations. The house we stayed in was beautiful, clean, spacious. The service was fantastic. Everyone of the staff was so helpful and answered all our questions. The pool was amazing, also the breakfast was fantastic! We for sure would recommend to stay at Borgo Baccile if you look for a nice place to stay!

Our room was beautiful and of high quality. The bed was great and the bathroom spacious and stunning. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choises! Wine tasting with local coldcuts and cheeses was a very nice experience. Top service!

There was an event at night and we heard loud music in the room till 1AM and couldn't sleep. The staff told they had sent an email through booking to inform us about it a few days earlier but we didn't receive anything. In any case it would have been to late to cancel, so... Noise and smoke in the morning at the pool as a tractor was working in the vineyard. They could schedule it at different times, or at least when there are no guest using the pool

It would be great to have meals available at night ie dinner, even if it's a simple antipasto/pasta/gelato option. We would have happily stayed in and taken advantage of our beautiful surroundings and ordered wine from their collection. It's a 30 minute drive down to the coast to where most of the restaurants are and driving back in the dark on unfamiliar roads was a bit stressful.

Breakfast was great in an amazing part of the property which seemed very ancient.

Beautiful room with antique brick and masonry walls and ceiling. The breakfast area is similarly designed with museum features. The on line photos are a little washed out, it’s even better in person. We did not observe a function but the reception area is outstanding.

Everything went well, no complaints.

We had the best time here. The breakfast was very good - you can order what you prefer, and you get exactly what you ordered, only better. An omelette and fresh fruits was key to happy stay. Also the beds should be mentioned - we got the best sleep.

Missing opportunities for services during low season. When we arrived, the pool was closed and it was not mentioned in the confirmation of our reservation, disappointing everyone very much, especially our kids. Also many services included in their description were missing, such as the welcome bottle of wine and room service. We brought to their attention that we didn’t receive the mentioned bottle of wine as a welcome, and they said they would shortly give it to us, but never received. They kindly gifted us with wine when we left though, for all the inconveniences during our stay, and it was nice from them. There was no bar at all, and no reception after 8 pm, so in case we would need anything such as water or something else, we would go to the first supermarket available very far from there. We arrived quite starving, and unfortunately there was no chance to get food anywhere near, not exactly what we were expecting. For breakfast, we had to decide the day before and order it way too in advance; kids change their mind very quickly especially about food, it also happens to an adult to change mind about breakfast from a day to another, so it felt a bit unpleasant. When we arrived I asked the concierge a list of activities to do in the area with kids, unfortunately as resort they didn’t have much of activities to offer, and I ended up finding something by myself. Luckly they had bikes, this service was complementary. It would have been nice if they could offer us the possibility to do at list a picnic in the beautiful garden they have, this is a package they could definitely offer to their guests and it is a big missed opportunity. During our stay cleaning was not included for stays shorter than 3 days, and I ended up cleaning our apartment. Not exactly what I was expecting since I always do that at home and I really wanted to avoid that on holiday.

Very beautiful place, details oriented from a design point of view. Spaces around are well maintained, they have bikes available and a beautiful garden for picnic, even if they don’t provide service for it during low season. We addressed a complaint about the pool that was not available, however they tried to accommodate our request successfully.

This is a beautiful wedding location but it's not a hotel. The staff and especially the manager were rude.
