How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Rooms were a little small, but not a problem.
Great location in Parma. Good breakfast to get the day going. Helpful dining recommendations by the staff on a very crowded holiday weekend in Parma.

It was a beautiful hotel in the heart of the city. The place and the staff had real Italian style. A great place. even if getting the car there is a bit scary.

The rooms do need updating but are perfectly adequate. Breakfast was not included and there was the usual dreadful coffee from a machine and teapots no bigger than a thimble. Might be better to go to a bar nearby rather than pay the extra.
Excellent location in the centre of the city. Easy to walk to the major sights and close to lots of restaurants. Very helpful staff. Very good value for money

When there are events in the main square the room is very noisy. Room was quite small.
Location is very central. Staff were helpful with local information.

The breakfast was a little bit noisy with too many people at the same time and only one very slow coffee machine.
The hotel was very good located. The interior is funny and boheme in a good way. The room and the bathroom were both good.

Bathroom towel rail couldn't be turned off. Rooms looked a little tired versus the reception area.
Excellent location, close to city centre, reception area was nice and the staff were welcoming. Rooms were a good size.

Beds can be more comfortable, but comparing to price advantage, all is fair enough for a 1 night stay.
Typical 3 star old fashioned hotel, staff was helpful, room was clean, faced no problem. Location is safe and close to centers although Parma is a small city.

a bit old interior inside my room. for the first time I was a bit scared that due they havn't 24/24 reception, But after comunication with the staff I understand that there is no problem to check in or check out any time you want.
location is excellent, quite close to all highlights, even not an main street, so, much more quite, than on top of the restaurant. staff is great, comunication ecxellent!!!

The tapestries on the walls need to be renovated a little. I would like a few more healthy bread choices.
Location is great: close to everything. The staff is friendly and effective. The room is big and clean. The breakfast suits to every demands.

It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room for tea or coffee
Great location in the heart of Parma. The room was small but comfortable, and the hotel was calm and quiet. Breakfast was good, and the staff at the reception were very helpful with suggestions for dinner and drinks in the city.

Getting the shower to the right temperature was a bit of a challenge.
Lovely staff, who were very accommodating. Loved the wallpaper in the room. Comfy bed.

Not the cheapest, but it was a holiday period and as such value for money.
Excellent central location, for this to be recommended hotel. Large very comfortable room and an excellent breakfast.

Wi-Fi in my room was basically unusable.
Very nicely located, a public parking was not too far away and the hotel send you all sort of information to get there and use the facilities. Very nice breakfast.
