It is an exceptional property in an old village, which is largely car free. The room was really comfortable with a lovely garden.

The bus’ aren’t very regular and are often delayed but this wasn’t a problem however it is a distance to the closest town.

We loved our stay at Cà Piodèe, the room was amazing clean and tidy and the staff very helpful! We were a little concerned about the area due to it being so high up in the mountains however after the first night this passed and realised the local community were very hospitable and friendly. The local roof restaurant was amazing and would very much recommend!

The hosts were incredibly kind and ensured we had a parking spot. Upon arrival, we were picked up and driven to the hotel, located in a beautiful historical village near the lake. It was very calm and peaceful, the perfect spot for people who want to stay away from the crowds of more tourist flooded places like Bellagio and Como. I highly recommend hiking to Chiesa della Madonna del Soldo, a small church located nearby, which offers the most beautiful view of the lake Como.

The wifi/internet was poor, and mobile reception in the town was also bad. Really the only knock against the place.

I wish we had stayed another night. Very nice room with a beautiful view. The bed was super comfortable. The hosts were nice and helpful. The coffee room and yard were nice and relaxing. The breakfast was excellent. Overall, the nicest place we stayed in two weeks in Italy and easily the best value.

Barbara hosted us for breakfast. The food, view and service were outstanding. We found it hard to leave Cà Piodèe on our checkout day. Would have liked to stay longer, but our schedule was fixed. We will be back! Thank you all very much for your kind hospitality.

Nothing I didn’t like! It could only be better with more places to eat and to meet more people or locals.

A precious, unique experience in a very comfortable, private, and beautifully renovated old stone home in a lovely old village. Especially great if you like to walk and hike. One should be sure footed to enjoy the cobblestone stone paths. Fantastic breakfast! ‘Home restaurant’ in the village is amazing!Enjoyable bus ride from Como (which is a fun place w shops and restaurants and history). Friendly people. Beautiful area! I’d love to go back again!

It's important to get the exact info about the arrival. You can't arrive with your car to the house, the streets are too small. You have to carry your suitcases in beautiful medieval streets about 100m.. with the help of the staff, of course. It's definitely not a dislike, it's part of the charm of the place, but it's essential info.

Wonderful place, very friendly hosts. Nice location. Amazing room and the bathroom in the highest standards. One can see the great investment, financial and emotional, that has been done in this house and the guests' rooms.

A swimming pool would have been great, or a jacuzzi, but then again, one cannot have everything in life!

What a pleasant surprise in Palanzo, Fagetto Lario! If you like a hotel in a cozy, medieval town, this is a great choice. It is a fully renovated house which is about 250 years old! You will be about 35 minutes by car from Como. Yet, if you wish for peace and quiet time, with cooler temperatures in the summer, this is an excellent choice. There are bus services as well - do check the timings! Hosts are very friendly, informative and pleasant. Breakfast is plentiful. Food adapted to those with food allergy/intolerance, just ask! Dinners (if you choose to dine here) are great. Parking is down the road, but you get personalized transport to/from the hotel. Get your walking shoes ready as you need to walk all over the town and enjoy the stone houses, gardens, ancient wine press, etc. A beautiful walk up the hill to la Madonna del Soldo will give you a stunning view of Lake Como. On the main road, across the bus stop, do not miss the cozy restaurant with homemade food and a roof-top terrace to enjoy the view. If you like hikes, go to Monte Palanzone and the Rifugio Angelo Riella (about 3.5 hrs in total). It is also possible to walk from the town to Lake Como, but the return journey may have to be by bus. I recommend staying minimum 2 nights to enjoy the hotel and the town. It is worth it!
