How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The bathroom is very small. Shower cubicle is very small. No window in the bedroom only in the entrance room. There is no desk or table so make it not comfortable for using a laptop. The street is noice so we had to keep the window shut.
The room was clean. Good breakfast Parking by the house.

Some cheese and ham or other savory food for breakfast would have been nice.
Nice big and really clean room with all that you need for your stay. Really kind and helpful host. Good breakfast with homemade cakes and pies and good cappuccino.

The mattress and the pillows were stiff.
The breakfast was lovely 🤩 And the owner is so helpful and friendly. The location is perfect if you're renting a car,parking a quiet area.

Everything was perfect, we were really satisfied and we felt like at home. Parking space without any problem, good location, tasty breakfast with amazing coffee, nice and clean room and the best friendly staff ever :))) we really recommend this accomodation :)

Daniele was an exceptional host, great communication, he was helpful and friendly! Clean rooms, good breakfast. We had an early flight so Daniele left us breakfast so we could eat earlier. Great location, less than half an hour drive to Erice, Trapani 10 minutes away. Thank You!

Everything was good.
The room was great, clean bathroom and the beds were quite comfortable. Communication with the host was very easy and the shelf checking was a plus. The breakfast met our expectations.

We stayed in 4 person room with two separate beds for the children which were nice. Wifi good. Clean. Friendly and helpful owner with good recommendations. Breakfeast basic but good. The place is good value for money, and a good spot for discovering Trapani area with a car.

Great homely atmosphere, very nice room and lovely breakfast. Beautiful suggestions provided from the host as well as a map of the area to help us. The rooms was very clean and well equipped!!

One of our room faced the road and the shutter did nor come down all the way but this was a minor issue as there were curtains.
we arrived very late and were able to check ourselves in, the owners had made it very easy to get our keys and find our rooms. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast had lots of options and was delicious.

We arrived on a rainy day so the room was quite cold. I believe it doesn’t happen often in Sicily and we could have probably used the Air conditioning that was installed in the room. The room felt a bit dusty but this is probably due to recent renovation.
We arrived at night and it was really easy to check in, the owner explained us everything and was very responsive! The hostel got recently renovated so the bathroom was very nice and clean! In the morning a nice breakfast waited for us and we even got some pastry for the road :) The hostel is located in a small town so we had a very quiet night of sleep. It is quite close to Trapani though which is nice!

sometimes you can hear people walking upstairs but it wasn’t really an issue
it was a nice quiet place with a shared terrace. a good location if you have a car but there are hourly buses to trapani available. the host was very helpful and the staff really nice - felt just like at home.

Everything was perfect. Owner was very helpful. He even gave some advices about the roads in Sicily region (he speaks english very well). Room was big and clean. We had fresh and hot cruasanes for breakfast (and other snacks), owner made a coffee and tea (for everyone needs). I highly recommend Cafisu for every traveler!

There is nothing that I can mention as a minus.
The owner was very very kind. The rooms was very clean and big enough for two adults. The breakfast was very tasty. The owner also prepare for us a sandwiches when we leave the place. Thank you!
