How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room was very dark due to the shutters outside of the windows being closed. They were quite difficult to open and as they were closed when we arrived we were uncertain if we were allowed to open them. I am sure that with natural light the room would have been more convenient. Also the bed was very soft so everytime the other one moved the other one woke up. Finally you needed four keys to get into your room (or to get because the doors were also locked from the inside —> in case of emergency this arrangement would not be very safe). The nearby streets were loud and dirty, but that is quite common in Naples.
The host was very friendly and helpful and gave us tips for exploring the city. Room was clean and air condition worked well. Bathroom was spacious and equiped with shampoo and soap. Breakfast was arranged at coffee shop on the other side of the street (sweet croissant and coffee). It was also nice that we could leave our luggage at the b&b after check out and explore the city a bit more before our late flight. Location was good as the b&b was close to the train station (train to Pompei and Sorrento and Alibus to the airport left from there) but it was a bit further away from the parts of the city with more tourist attactions and restaurants.

I consider the process of unlocking 3 doors to enter my room to be a bit cumbersome, but I'm sure that the owner knows better about needed security of accommodations. I got classic Italian breakfast of croissant and coffee. I'm not a huge fan of it since it's sugar and caffeine bomb but hey, you're in Italy.
Hotels location is really great. Room was spacious, very clean and the host was very friendly.

Filipino was very helpful and took us from airport to the apartment . Explained all about city and recommended nice restaurants. Also there to walk around and what areas to avoid . Apartment was is central city and close to central station .

It was quite hard to get to the room as we had to use 4 keys. Unfortunately it was loud during the night (fireworks and concerts) but maybe we were unlucky with the timing.
Filippo was a very nice host. The room was very good and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very modern and the breakfast at the Cafe was really good.

Great location, close to historic centre and train station. Clean room with good shower. Got a transfer from manager at airport which was super helpful on arrival

Great location right in the city centre, quiet room which is very convenient in such a busy city. Room is very well equipped, offers everything needed. Filippo is a nice host, very attentive and helpful.

The bed has a memory foam mattress and is too soft. My back suffered from it, which was unfortunate. The breakfast voucher is for a cafe across the road - a voucher which gives you a typical Italian breakfast of a coffee and a pastry. The pastry was not fresh. Recommend you to go elsewhere for a good pastry.
Located around the corner from the famous Da Michele Pizzeria. The room was functional and clean. The bathroom shower and toilet were clean and functional. The air-conditioner was excellent. The owner recommended the pizza fritta restaurant nearby, which was very good. The owner provided the airport transfers, which is very convenient.
