bed was a little to firm, not enough pillows (although I’m sure if I asked they would have provided more). Also the shower was placed opposite the screen which didn’t have the rubber strip to seal causing a lot of drips on the bathroom floor

The room was not soundproof, all night we could hear sound from outside. The skybar was not open when we tried to go there. It was around 10 pm. It would be great if they would have provided an electric kettle in the room. The bathroom door was not closing completely, it was getting stuck against the floor.

We got an upgrade, we were provided a room in Hotel Carlton on the grand canal. The location was excellent, a few minutes walk from the bus station and railway station. The room was compact and cosy. The bathroom was very clean and spacious. Breakfast had a lot of variety.

The room is little out dated and the ventilation can be better. The wifi is quite weak in our room as we at the far end, which is far from the wifi router

The hotel is very well located and convenient near the train and bus station in Venice. The staffs are super friendly, very helpful and supportive with all our requests. The reception staffs are really the stars in our trip.

Fantastic location across from the train station and only a few minutes walk from bus station so no need to get water taxi! Room were small but clean..just off the street easy walking distance to shops restaurants

Size of bedrooms

Well located hotel with gorgeous interior - the only downside was the size of the rooms which are deceptively smaller than the pics advertised are. That said I would still stay again as we only used the hotel as a base to sleep!

no kettle in the room mosquitos when one opens the windows Room was hot and they had not opened the AC.This branch of Carlton is on the backside and there was no passage of fresh air . Although one of the staff members did give us a fan to help so appreciate that . small room , should lower down the price some staff members were not very accommodating like the kitchen lady did not like it when I sat on the table set for 3 (there was just one extra plate which could have been easily removed , although she did not say anything but could’ve just removed the plate rather than making a face ) , one staff member said that it’s not in their policy to give an iron although one other staff provided it to us although my wife had to iron our clothes next to reception . You will never find the location on google map. Staff should simply guide you that it’s behind the Carlton on Canal . First hotel which did not have a toaster , extremely surprising .

I did not like that the curtains did not close, we like it dark when we sleep. The Air-conditioning was not on which left the room rather warn.the shower was very tight for space

I loved the location of the hotel, it was literally 5 min walk from the train station, which was great especially as we had tours going from this area also, fabulous 30 min walk to San Marco. The hotel had comfortable beds and a fridge in the room.

Very noisy rooms as in you could hear when other people were moving around in their rooms. Small room for 3 adults. Booked on booking. Com and paid over the average as when we arrived someone asked for a room for that night and was much cheaper than we paid ☹ so annoying g as we booked in advance. Had to ask for extra pillows as they were very bad

Shower was a nightmare, trying to stick the shower curtain to the tiles so I didn't flood the bathroom.

Close to the train station, really good value for money. Breakfast was an extra €9 but it was worth it , loads of choice and an opportunity to fill up to fuel a day's sightseeing.

Room was warm but when we opened the windows, we had mosquitos. Shower door was a little awkward but once in, was great.

We were actually upgraded for free to the Carlton Canal hotel and provided a room on the main Canal in Venice which was a lovely surprise. The room was clean, nice big windows and the shower was excellent. Staff were lovely and super helpful. Roof top bar is also highly recommended

The room was not quite soundproof from neighbouring room or seagulls outside, but we got our sleep anyway.

Great room with a balcony which surprised me and was first time in few years to a room with balcony. Location is great. Close to main train station, parking options, ferry stops, many restaurants which are away from tourist crowds and you can get a free spot anytime, grocery store. Check in friendly and quick.

The location was very central, very close to everywhere. The staff is very kind and hospitable. Close to bus and train station but on a quiet street. Beautiful room, very comfortable and clean!

The mattress quality was low (it reminded me of my military service 😂). The room temperature was very high. Although I tried to reduce the temperature but it didn’t work, so had to open the window and consequently mosquitoes came in. The internet speed in our room was a little bit slow.

The room was clean, especially the bathroom. The hotel is located close to city entrance (10 min walk from bus station). It is in a quiet place and not in the noisy main streets. But it was far from the center (almost 30 min by foot).
