How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The elevator. When someone does not shut the doors on their way out, the elevator will get stuck on that floor. Needs a sign to close the doors.
The room was clean and updated. The host was very nice and accommodating.

The only issue we had was on the first morning when builders started work on the facade of the building at 8am. We chatted to the manager and the issue never re-occured for the duration of our stay so it was all very minor. I found the mattress quite hard but that is just a personal preference as I like a slightly softer mattress.
The suites are in a really fantastic location. Very easy to get to a near by Metro station and the rest of the city is within a relatively short walking distance. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating and were able to give us great recommendations of places to eat both near by and in more touristic areas of the city also. Their recommendation for a restaurant called Tavola was particularly great. It is literally around the corner and it the food was amazing. Highly recommended

Only flaw was a very bad sounfproofing of the room.
Last minute booking turned out to be a real gem. Room was tidy and service was excellent.

The building is really old. Smelly old elevator and 3 keys to open doors

the breakfast was good but there is not a lot of space if everyone wants to eat at the same time. iwe had allways place to eat but the space is limited.
clean, the employers where really nice, the location is fine - in a 20 min walk you are in the vatican.

Quite tricky to find when you first check in but more than worth it, the lady who checked us in was incredibly helpful and knowledgable and the room was so spacious and comfortable! Great location with some authentic restaurants and bars local and only 20 mins walk from the main sightseeing spots. Would not hesitate to book again!

Very little. The room we were in was JUST off the reception/shared area and so was noisy as people were coming in and out - I think if we had been staying any longer I would have asked to move.
The suite was in a collection of rooms in Prati, an area we chose because of its proximity to the Vatican (10 mins walk) but actually surprised us as it still felt very much like a neighbourhood. Close to 2 metro stops, which makes the whole of Rome accessible. It is easy to find and the greeting was lovely from the staff. Great aircon, which is a must when the weather was 35+ degrees. The room was large, comfortable bed with great bathroom. Super clean with some nice facilities in the common area for tea, water, coffee.

Everything was fantastic - the location, the building itself, the room, the kindness of the owner and all employees. The room was very spacious, pristine clean, with all amenities needed for a proper vacation time in Rome. The beds were very comfortable as well. The neighbourhood is perfect for someone who wants to be just a bit away from the touristic crowds. Yet, the building is only a few munutes away from 2 metro stations and is surrounded by nice shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful stay at the Cesare ai Cavalieri Suites, ideally located close to the centre of the city whilst being quiet and peaceful to ensure a restful stay. it was just perfect and Stella was a fantastic host!

We have stayed for eight nights and the lining has never been changed.
Location is good, walking distance to main attractions. Very nice staff at the reception, polite and helpful. The breakfast is served in a nearby caffeteria that is very nice. There is also coffee available in the lobby.

Nice place to stay at a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful. Clean and quiet rooms with air conditioning. The breakfast only included a coffee and a big soft croissant in different varieties, but I loved it, it was delicious, highly recommend to give it a try.

Italian breakfast is not our kind of breakfast but anyway we knew that in advance so there was no problem. Coffee and capuccino served together with sweet brioche for breakfast in popular local cafe were perfect though!
Good location, kind and helpfull staff, comfortable beds, clean and big room and bathroom, AC and fridge in the room, towels changed and room cleaned daily, free coffee at reception... would stay there again!

The only issue we had was with the toilet - first it was leaking however that was quickly addressed and fixed. Then it blocked.
The location was great in the Prati area of Rome. The room was spacious, bright and well air conditioned. The staff were excellent and provided good recommendation about the local are and Rome.
