Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Canada- The people managing the property should give clearer instructions for check-in. - The separation between the rooms in terms of noise cancellation. We felt like our neighbours on the property were just next to us. We did not feel like we had complete privacy. Not related to the rating: we visited Napoli for a cultural visit, so we did not go to the Amalfi coast or beaches. The experience might be different for other types of experiences within the region.
- The location is easily 10/10. You are right by the fun and beautiful piazzas. It's in the heart of the old town. We felt quite safe and close to everywhere. - It's quite affordable. The price to performance ratio is pretty good. - The room was spacious and protected against the sounds coming from the outside.

AustriaSince it’s so central, it can get very loud (especially on weekends) and there is almost no noise isolation in the house. Also, the door to the bathroom is very loud, so if you’re noise sensitive (and even if you’re not) don’t forget earplugs. A little thing that could be easily improved are the bulbs in the night lights that could be changed to the dimmer ones (the current ones have the day light bulbs in them).
The location is very central, even with a small balcony in a typical Neapolitan building. For touristic purposes it is perfect.

FinlandNightlife noises could be heard on saturday, but the host can’t fix that issue:)
Excellent location, the apartment met our expectations and the facilities were clean and comfortable. The equipment that was there was all very useful! Our host was very kind and understanding and even though there was a language barrier we figured everything out together without issues!

The location is exceptional. You can reach everything by foot. The room was very spacious and clean. If we ever return to Napoli, we would probably stay here again.

NetherlandsThe sound isolation is not the best but that is of the nature of the buildings in the area, not sure there is much to do
The location is unbeatable. The structure had a historic character - it was interesting to be inside. I had a very good peaceful sleep there

NorwayBathroom is small, but not too small. Bed is short if you're longer than 192 cm.
Very helpful and service minded. Quick and easy communication. Perfect location for exploring Naples. Good air conditioning and balcony.

ItalyI am neapolitan and I needed to book a room due to an emergency at home. As citizen of Naples and Napolitan I can recommend this room to turists for many reasons. The room is in the heart of Naples, very near piazza del Gesù on the "Spaccanapoli" street, which is the most important and characteristic street of the "old historic quarter". The Room is few minutes of walking from the most attended place for "night life" (eg. Piazza Bellini, Piazza San Domenico Maggiore...) but at the same time is in a quite corner. The place can be easly reached from the Central Station Garibaldi with the Metro "Linea 1", because is 5 minutes by walking directly near the Metro-Stop piazza Dante. Very near Via Toledo (3 Min by walking) and Piazza del Plebiscito (15 min by walking through/down Via Toledo), 15 Minutes by walking away from the National Museum. The landlords were very nice and directly contacted me to confirm the prenotation and the booking time chosen from me (I booked the room the same day of the Check in). The room was clean and had AC, a little fridge where they placed for us a bottle of water. Additional useful Infos) Hairdryer and Towels were given, no breakfast.

ChileAt first sight -probably- I felt a bit confused when I got to the building, but later when you enter to the apartment you change your mind immediately. I liked the place.
Clean and so many amenities that makes you feel home away from home: A/C, microwave, tv, mini fridge, kettle, teas and sweeteners and more things. Spacious room and a private bathroom. Next to Metro Dante, easy to get into the apartment. Antonio is very good host, always answers quickly to your messages and requests. I work in the Hospitality Industry in Singapore and I can HIGHLY recommend Cisterna’s Rooms if you’re interested to visit Napoli.

United KingdomIt's good value for money and the photos show the room, bathroom and view from the balcony. Could be easier to find but Antonio was very helpful and somebody came out to greet us and show us the room.
Location is great with a character balcony and large room overlooking one of the main narrow streets of the old town. There is an attractive atmospheric buzz in the street below. The bathroom is small, as shown in the pictures. It was not easy to find in the small streets but Antonio was very helpful in directing us. The entrance is via a very old internal stone staircase at the back of the building. Overall good value for money in the old town
