Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomVery poor Wi-Fi signal, the tv and lamp didn’t work, no plugs in room to charge phones, cobwebs everywhere in rooms, reception area, toilets. Mould and tiles missing in the bathroom . Breakfast was very basic, reception area was noisy in the morning where our room was. Really needed a good clean to freshen the whole hotel up and needed a bit of tlc. No good value for money at all.
It was a good location. One of the staff had worked there for 25 years was really pleasant. Clean towels.

FranceThe bathroom needs refurbishing and the air conditioning was very poor.
We arrived early and the lady kindly allowed us to leave our car so that we could walk into the centre of Florence. Extremely handy distance, 15 mins to Ponte Vecchio. We highly recommend after a long hot walk in the centre the PortoRomana Pizza e Grill which is at 500 metres away. Lovely staff.

Poland3-star hotel and at breakfast you drink water, in a plastic cup, from plastic bottles. We had a room with a 'fold-out' shower, no picture of this room category has such a 'miracle'. There are no adapters in the room, e.g. an iron, will not work.
Great location, nice hotel. Near the center. The rooms had a nice atmospheric design

Czech RepublicThe breakfast for 3 stars hotel DEFINITELY can be improved. We had much better breakfasts in Italy in cheaper hotels. Some packaged old pastries, which smelled like cupboard, store bought cake, a bit of fruit and cheap yogurt. We didn’t eat any of that. Just coffee. Also it is older building, so there is no electricity plug for eu computer charger, which usually thicker and does not fit into the old type. We couldn’t not change most of our electronics and we are from Europe as well. I am not talking US adapter here.
The hotel is clean and well located with free parking spot.

NorwayThere were mosquitoes in the bedroom which sometimes made it difficult to get a good night sleep. The bites and itching made our stay a little less pleasant. Perhaps installing pest control measures can help to keep the rooms clear of mosquitoes.
The location was quiet and peaceful within short walking distance to some restaurants, a store, a farmacy, taxi area and the beautiful Boboli Gardens. The hotel rooms and comon areas were nicely decorated with a traditional style. A simple yet tasty breakfast was available in the garden, which made for a pleasant start of each day. The staff was very friendly and helpful - they helped with all our requests always with a smile.

RussiaWiFi was terrible. Sometimes there are 1 line, and sometimes it was completely absent
The hotel has a balance between reasonable price and distance from city center. It is located 20-25 minutes walk from the center in a very nice area. There is a lot of greenery around, beautiful villas, not far from the Boboli Gardens. There is a super opportunity to park your car free on the site in front of the hotel. The hotel has a beautiful lounge with antique furniture. The room also has a wardrobe and a chest of drawers made of natural wood with a marble top and a nice carpet. Large and comfortable shower. Breakfast is served in a sympa garden. But the he products were of average quality (like from a supermarket)

ItalyIn general the hotel facilities are not in great conditions. The bathrooms of the rooms are really basic and outdated and in general the room conditions look lousy. It's a pity as they do not match with the feeling you get upon arrival. The breakfast quality is also average. They offer many kinds of food and drinks but it's really poor quality.
The location of the Classic hotel is perfect, walking distance from porta Romana, one of the city center access gates. The hotel villa and backgarden are really charming, peaceful and quiet. The hotel has on site parking which makes it super easy if you travel by car. The staff is friendly.

United StatesWe had a room located in bottom half hotel and near basement. I would have like an upper story with larger windows and more light.. Breakfast was okay...no hot food, like eggs..etc. The breakfast area was outside (beautiful porch area) but my wife tripped and fell once hard and we both tripped several times because of uneven footing.
Location was reasonable distance away from Florence busy hustle. (Tip: driving leave car parked at hotel and take bus/taxi to florence. Nightmare trying drive and park) The Hotel is an old stately mansion and very comfortable. Room was comfortable and bathroom large. Decoration with antique furnishings and felt like your where in Italian mansion of the time with modern amenities. Parking was great. Front desk people where very friendly/helpful in all questions and spoke English.

United KingdomAs there was no bars, cafes in the area, a small bar would have been nice for an evening nightcap or for a glass of wine, Although that said they gladly provided glasses if you brought your own. Just a very very small thing which did not dectract from our lovely stay.
It was a lovely secluded hotel away from the centre of Florence which is what we wanted. We loved the breakfast location within the gardens and there was plenty of choice. The staff were very pleasant and helpful - we were always booking taxis which they gladly did for us. A lovely stay and the perfect location if you want off the beaten track.
