Viola is a really friendly, nice, and helpful person. She assisted us with public transport, taxis, city taxes, and even pointed out on the map the must-see places in Cagliari. We spent five days at the guest house and were very happy with our choice. The room was perfect for two people—very clean, comfortable, and equipped with a private bathroom. The breakfast was also delicious and served on a lovely terrace. If we ever return to Cagliari, we’ll definitely choose Viola's guest house again.

This is a wonderful, family run Boutique hotel. We receive a very warm welcome and great service throughout our stay. The Guest House is well positioned to access all local attractions and get around the city, and is ideal for someone looking to immerse themselves completely within the local environment. Breakfast and amities were excellent. Our hosts were lovely, engaging and provided great suggestions as to where to go, what to see and where to eat. I would thoroughly recommend Contus Rétro Guest House and would be very happy to return!

Very cute guesthouse run by a cuter family. You can tell they've given design and comfort attention, and tried to make their guests' stay as comfortable as possible. And the breakfast on the terrace was wonderful.

In one word - delighted. Precise instructions for check-in. A beautifully decorated room with a bathroom with all the necessities. The homemade breakfast is excellent and is served on a wonderful terrace. The terrace is a pleasant surprise and has been transformed into a real small garden. The owner, Viola, pays special attention to details, and as a lover of beauty, that was an added bonus for me. If I ever return to Cagliari, I will definitely choose the same accommodation. Thank you for your kindness. You are a true inspiration.

The windy weather

We loved to stay at the guest house. It was very clean and comfortable. Viola, and her family was very kind and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom clean and tidy. We did not use the very nice balcony as the weather was very windy during our stay.

It's a bit of a walk to the action in Cagliari, which would not be a problem if your group is ok with a 15-minute walk but was challenging for my elderly mom

Viola was awesome. What a host. Helped us with travel tips, where to go, where to eat, what we should do and visit. So good. The apartment is very cute and comfortable and the breakfast is very nice. Not just Viola but the rest of the staff is great, including the baby and the dog:) Just perfect.

Absolutely fantastic stay here. My sister and I loved everything - from the decor to the breakfast. Viola is a wonderful caring host and has great recommendations for dinner. She made a restaurant reservation for us, which was perfect as it was the weekend. Strongly recommend staying here

The owner/host, Viola, was so helpful and caring and gave us all the info we needed about Cagliari! The rooms and the terrace were tastefully vintage decorated, newly renovated and most importantly very clean. And the tasty, homemade breakfast was a great homely touch! I would totally stay again!
