The front door from the street isn't always unlocked, which can be daunting upon arrival. Maria Rita has an arrangement with a neighbor to open up, but he only speaks Italian which can be problematic. . We were upset at first, exhausted after many hours of travel, but understood later that the inn is a small family owned business doing their very best for their guests and the owners can't be present at all times.

Our hostess Maria Rita was the best. She was easy to message via WhatsApp and was very quick to clarify slightly confusing directions to enter the building. Once we were able to get in and managed to get to our floor via a small double-door elevator, the room was pristine and comfortable. There was a nice simple breakfast served by two ladies who were very accommodating. Maria Rita even gave us a card for a discount at a nearby restaurant. She was right; the food was outstanding.

Instructions to get into the building then into the room were a bit challenging at first but okay after you got used to the key situation. The beds were a bit hard.

There was nothing we didn't like. Occasional bathroom smell but not unusual in an old building. For the price the rooms are fine and the location great. Make sure you know how to get to the hotel if coming by taxi as ours sent us walking in the wrong direction but Google maps sorted us out.

The suites are very well located in Politeama a great area. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. Breakfast was simple but enabled us to have an early start each day for sightseeing. Easy walk to all the main sights. The suites are good value for a budget hotel. The lift is old fashioned but no issues and good for luggage.

Elevator was charming and old, but small and somewhat scary (though safe I am sure), so we took the stairs mostly.

One of the nicer/cleaner neighborhoods, right next to a main street full of luxury stores, a walk away from the park and lots of restaurants. We were given a map with places to visit. Simple breakfast. Nice, clean and comfortable bedroom plus the house itself looked renovated and clean, toilet & shower somewhat outdated with mold spots, but plenty of amenities and a lot of space next to the sink for personal items which was nice. The building has an old but charming elevator, almost takes you back in time. The host was beyond lovely and accommodating, I had an issue with my travel partner and she 100% came through for me at all hours to make sure I was safe - cannot be more grateful for their kindness and care.

the air freshener in the hallway was a little to strong and effected my allergies a little. Also, i'm sure it's for the best of the plumbing but it they didn't want toilet paper flushed in the toilets.

our host was so hospitable and kind. she came amazing local recommendations and was so patient with our broken italian. The breakfast was simple, but hit the spot. Additionally the location is in the mix of all the local favorites stomps. There were so many choices around us and great shopping too. Bellisimo!

Great location in the thick of the city, close walk to nearby shops, bars and restaurants. Plenty of space in the room, comfy bed and facilities available. Nice choices and service at breakfast, the hosts were incredibly helpful in letting you know the best places to visit. I would definitely recommend staying here.

For us it was perfect. Only a few rooms so book early!!

The location is stellar. Close to all of the main attractions. We walked up and down the corso many times and to the markets and churches. It is also close to a bus stop from the airport. So don’t take a taxi or train! It is 1 minute from the stop to the room! And the staff is EXTREMELY Helpful and charming.

I wished the rooms had 3 curtains instead of two so the room could’ve been darker at night.
