There is no kitchen for cooking. The furniture is a bit old.

The workers are friendly and helpful. The bathroom was clean and had hot water. The location is near the city center and all its attractions.

It was okayish and i wouldn’t say i had gret experience but it is because of the people i shared room with i didnt get a ounce of sleep coz one of the room mate was snoring like train but the hitel staff was very nice i didnt bery late check in still he kept the key and made a whole video and sent me how to access everything and showed concern as a female i felt assured by the way they treated me and there was not much of facilities but bathroom and toilets were well maintained

The building is old even from the inside. The kitchen I can't even consider a kitchen is just a stove and microwave.

The shower water pressure was really low, but it's another thing that's kind of expected in a hostel. This still had continual pressure and I forgot to bring a towel and they gave me one with no charge; so that was all nice. The common area also wasn't anything special, but I didn't really use it as I was only there one night.

The staff was very nice. I had a bit of trouble finding the place at first and someone happened to come outside and found me - so that was nice. The best part about this place is just that it's really hard to beat ~eur23 a night. It was a dorm with 4 beds and so it was everything I was expecting. It had lockers to put my important stuff while I was out, and the beds were fine.

The size of the 8er room is a bit crowded. Everything seems outdated so I do not have the typical "cleanness" feel

Lockers were tiny and not secure, someone could easily break into them. There's a lot of trust in who you end up rooming with, not to steal your stuff as nothing is secure. We were lucky to have nice roommates. My recommendation is for bigger lockers to actually store bags instead of the mismatched cupboards. Common spaces are pretty small and kitchen facilities are very basic. A Kettle would be nice.

Brilliant location, Which trumps most of the negatives and the prices of everywhere else. Nice staff, easy access and our room was available early. There are some kitchen facilities (microwave and fridge). Bed were comfortable and clean. Bathrooms were cleaned and maintained.

To me as a Swedish currency to Euro exchange rate deterioration "victim", paired with the (global) inflation induced price increase shock, all tourism related costs are nowadays hard to bear. Therefore, overnight stays are no longer affordable to me -- not even backpacker places or hostels. But since hotel costs have galloped away even worse, the choice is simple to make anyway. This view of course applies to all shared-room category sleepovers, and not specifically to Emerald Fields.

First half of my stay I had a room facing the busy street, whereby no one wanted the window open. So there was no air inlet during the night (8 guests). But there were electric wall appliances for every guest. Second half I had a room at the calm backyard, so we had the window open, very nice. But there were no electric wall appliances, so I had to recharge my phone in the kitchen late evenings as I got back from town. No problem though -- got me talking to other guests, and they had an airy open yard next to the kitchen.

Everything is as you’d expect, you get what you pay for.

WIFI, a particular nightly reception guy.

Loved most of the staff except that big bald guy handling reception on the night of 6th June. He was very rude. Given there is no public area in the whole hostel that stays open after 12 and I had to finish some work, so I was doing that and didn't want to keep the lights on in the room. So I was working in the kitchen and he kicked me out. I asked if I can sit in reception in that case, and he had just been rude. One can say no respectfully as well, but not this guy. So I had to literally walk out and finish my work on the street because all the cafes are closed. Heard a similar complain of him being rude from a fellow hosteler as well. But most of the day staff was so amazing and helpful. And the WIFI sucks sadly, I wish it was better. Apart from that, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, location is pretty good.

The floor in the bedroom and bathroom was really dirty. The construction work outside the window were really loud, even with window closed. The sewer smell in the building is bad. I think we may have been charged twice, but I can't tell. Seems like double the price.

The location was great. The sheets were professionally cleaned. Check in staff were really friendly. We got enough rest there. Air conditioner worked.

The fridge I was assigned for my things had a terrible odor that seeped into my fresh fruit and I was woken up in the middle of the night by another traveller as I was assigned their bed. I don’t know if that was an admin issue and I’m not aware of how it was handled on their end but I had to help her find another bed.

Great location, right in the city centre and close to many bars and restaurants. They were very accommodating especially considering the hotel I originally booked cancelled my booking last minute, bathrooms in every room and extras in the halls. Kitchen facilities and small lockers are also available. The staff is lovely and very informative.

Too expensive for what it offers. Showers had no water pressure, beds are cheap metal, no personal plug next to bed, little space for your things, lockers look easy to force open, kitchen is small and smelly
