How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very enjoyable, No complaints at all
We were delighted with our large well equipped room with air-conditioning, Very friendly staff welcomed us, advised on local attractions and travel options. Great selection of fresh fruit, baked goods and meats for breakfast. Located directly opposite train station so travel onwards very simple.

The hotel was very well located by the train station. The staff were superb during the stay. We mostly dealt with Sabrina and she was incredibly helpful, especially when we had transport difficulties onto our next destination. I would not hesitate to stay here again if I came to Bologna again.

We liked everything!
The staff were very friendly and our room was lovely, much bigger than we expected. The next morning after we checked out, we could leave our luggage at the hotel, which was so helpful! The lounge was a nice, cool place to escape the heat wave.

The family room is very spacious and the breakfast that is included in the rate is good. Reception staff is very friendly and helpful. This was my second stay at this hotel and if in Bologna again, I'd return to it with no hesitations.

The room was exactly what we needed in terms of size, comfort and facilities. The location, across the road from the main train station and a 15-minute walk to the main square, was perfect for us and the staff were consistently helpful. The buffet breakfast catered to all tastes. Finally, we were able to leave our baggage in the hotel after checking out on our final day, which was very useful.

AC didnt work but the staff were kind and gave us 2 ventilators so at the end we could sleep very well.
Excellent breakfast, great room, spacious and well equipped.

For check-in and check-out there were rather long queues. I had not expected that the checkout would take me almost 30 minutes, including for getting an invoice. After the long checkout I needed to run to the station. Then I almost missed my train (in fact I was in such a hurry that I mistakenly entered the wrong train).
The location is next to the main train station, and close to the old centre. My room was large and convenient, the bath room spacious. Wifi worked well.

I walk slowly with a cane. We were startled when the revolving door stopped while we were using it. It was fine on the last day. Perhaps a setting was off.
The breakfast had ample and varied selections.

A bit strange design of the desk and TV set position. A surprise was there was no slipper though I got it in other Starhotels.
Just in front of the station, easy to go to the center on foot, quiet room with double window though facing to the station. You can park the car.
