Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIf you book a "twin" room for a single person - that does not exist in the hotel. The Staff was very friendly and made an accommodation for our group. We were happy as long as we had enough rooms and beds to go around. AC did not work well in all rooms we booked. Thankfully there was a window option but that could be too loud for some.
Location is close-ish to the tourist sites. Our trip was mostly walking and it was a 30ish minute walk to most of the stuff we wanted to see. Staff was friendly and helpful! There is a little market next door which is nice for grabbing anything quickly. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was decent. Good value!

United StatesNothing it is perfect
This hotel is charming and very professionally run. The rooms are gorgeous— we had a balcony on the5 th floor. We walked because we like the effects. But there is a lift. Breakfast is extensive and plentiful and coffee perfect. Romantic perfect place walking distance to train.

SpainThe room was tiny to the extent that it difficult to manoeuvre getting getting in and out of bed. There was no side table just a nearby shelf. Unfortunately the rooftop bar was not open so there was nowhere to drink or socialise.
Breakfast buffet was excellent. Location was good as major sights were within walking distance. Staff were excellent. Friendly and helpful.

United StatesThe Hotel Raffaello was a bit out of the way when keeping in mind the monuments and sites of Rome. Prepare to walk to the Termini (train/bus station) Streets and sidewalks are uneven and cobbled so wheeled bags are difficult. The desk staff was distracted and not always the most pleasant -
They do have a full breakfast on site and the roof top lounge was a plus.

United StatesThe "American coffee" made me violently ill my first full day in Rome which is unfortunate bc we only had four days in Rome. My suggestion if you know if you will be having Americans as your guest. Purchase a Keurig coffee that uses the pods of coffee. That way the coffee is "good" for Americans. Please use the correct type of creme for the coffee too. Go onto amazon and purchase the kuireg, coffee and cream. Wish the air conditioning was better. The hotel in milan we went to we asked for a fan and we got one which made all the difference. The room was extremely small. That was a dissappointment.
Breakfast was good and very nice. The room was very clean and comfortable.

IsraelThe roof top bar which I understood to be a part of the hotel. I went there my first evening and didn’t want to order immediately. However, the Batman said I could not stay there without ordering. So I got up and left. Didn’t go back. Unacceptable for a hotel bar. ( barman said that the bar”was separate from the hotel” but when I asked the reception manager he said it was part of the hotel.) Mattress was a bit uneven…….
Complimentary coffee bar.

Hong KongUnfortunately there was lots of renovations happening at the same time. Also there is 1 elevator that fits 4 people max and whenever we'd come back to the hotel (approx 1.30-2pm) to escape the heat, our beds still hadn't been made

United StatesThe hotel is under construction and nothing worked including the elevator, airco, and hot water. There was always a line at the front desk for complaints. Workers started banging and using a jack hammer at 6 even on the weekend. Marble and sheetrock dust everywhere. Run from this property there are many others nearby that are a lot better value! Staff is clueless
