How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location is great to visit montepulciano. The staff is amazing, so nice and helpful. The room was nice and cosy. This is the cleanest hotel i have ever seen. It was so clean that I felt bad to go into the shower and leave water signs on the perfectly clean glass walls. Breakfast was nice, they have a great coffee. We really recommend this hotel

The hotel staff was just lovely. They attended to everything we needed with a smile, and gave us recommendations of sites to see in the area. Breakfast was great and the room was clean and spacious. Highly recommend!

We had a car so we didnt have a problem with the location. It's 10 min away by car from Montepulciano so for those using public transport this could be a deterrent.
The hotel is new or it seems new, the rooms are very clean, good water pressure, fresh smell throughout the hotel, free and convenient parking right in front of the hotel. The breakfast is buffet style, nice variety of sweet and salty options, the cheese was in particular divine. But what I would definitely have to say apart from other hotels is the joie de vivre of the receptionist, Niccolo if I m not wrong. Hardly have I seen such a joyful man, not to mention a front desk person. He really made our day, providing useful information about the region and restaurants where to eat. Chapeau bas for his friendly attitude and the abilty of memorizing everybody's names. You feel like a part of their family and this matters a lot.

the owner AND his mother were exceptional helpful and friendly! The owner especially gave my husband, a photgrapher all kinds of specific tips!!

This is not really a reflection on the hotel rather my poor research. Santa Albino is about 6km away from montepulciano. Public transport isn't great and is non existent on Sundays. A car would be very useful for anyone staying here, I got a lift from the owner to montepulciano which I was very grateful for and a taxi back at a cost of 25 euro
The staff were great, a family business, very helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel.

Matteo and his family are the best. They cannot do enough for you. Make you feel like friends forever. They provide homemade cooking for breakfast lunch snd dinner. We came back for a second stay after 4 days. Highly recommend as a place to stay near montepulciano.

Perfect stay - the hosts were so welcoming and helpful even though we checked in quite late in the evening! We were given great tips on places of attraction nearby. The room was very clean. We were able to charge the electric vehicle very easily and breakfast was well served. Will come back if I'll be in the area.

The glass windows provided fantastic views. The restaurant with its plants and greenery provided a wonderful atmosphere for dinner and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Our only suggestion would be to upgrade the bed.
The staff, location and quiet hotel were wonderful. The breakfast was simple but well stocked every day. Rooms were not large but were well appointed. We appreciated the mini bar with cold water and refreshments. Also enjoyed the supper on our first night after a very long day of travel. Every member of the family are ultimate hosts.

The staff is extra friendly and happy to help, we had a late check in and they even waited an extra hour so we could have dinner before everything closed down. We got tips on where to go and what to do, we had a parking space waiting for us (no reservation needed) and the breakfast was more than enough to get you started. The rooms are comfortable, the furniture is remodeled, the bathroom is clean. Couldn’t have asked for more.
