The host was such a nice guy! We had a late arrival so we didn't meet with him, however we chatted through what's app and he take such good care of us. The apartment was clean, it had everything you may need and more. The location was perfect! In the middle of the Catania's centre, the opera square is a hidden gem with drastically less tourists and the apartment was located there! I will miss the mornings with perfect sunshine on the terrace with amazing views. I recommend to all!

Room itself was on the smaller side, not ideal for longer stays. The B&B does have a common room down the hall though which might help.

Great location, very walkable and the piazza view from the balcony was nice. Bathroom was newly renovated. Elevator access is a plus for luggage. Good choice for a short stay downtown.

Very good location, in the heart of the city. The room is clean and well maintained. The owner is very friendly, helps you with any information you need, recommends restaurants with traditional food. He even offered us a bottle of wine on the last evening, just great to enjoy on the balcony overlooking the square. A very enjoyable stay!

Well renovated rooms with excellent location on the square in front of Massimo Bellini Theater - maybe the most clean area in whole Catania. Great host Alberto, who was waiting for us and help us with parking and the luggage. He also provided complimentary water, chips, espresso coffees! Breakfast was in the nearby Cafeteria! Thank you!

We loved our stay there. Alberto is super friendly and extremely helpful (you can write him 24/7 and he always answers). You can see that he deeply cares about his visitors. We recieved two bottles of wine from him as a gift which we enjoyed in common room playing chess. We would love to come back sometimes. <3 It was exceptional.

Everything was fine.

We were given a voucher to have a continental breakfast in a coffee bar on the square. The coffee was wonderful. Proper espresso. The croissants were really fresh. The square was beautiful and our room had a balcony overlooking it. It was not far to walk to the Cathedral and excellent restaurants. Alberto was there to meet us and was very helpful. He arranged a taxi for us.

If you’re in need of a cup of tea or glass of wine, and of sitting on a balcony, overlooking a historic piazza and opera house while pondering a blue sky, regardless the season, then this is your place. Don’t think twice. Alberto is sure to provide a warm Sicilian welcome and all the restaurant tips you might need. Breakfast is served across the piazza, the side that receives the morning sun. Rooms are modern, bright and fresh, and basic in a European sense. Everything you require without the bling-bling. Location? I doubt it gets any better than this. You’d be forgiven if you extended your stay by 2-3 weeks, or more 🙃

Located on a beautiful square. Breakfast is offered at Cafe Opera, a cafe just on the other side of the square. A cup of coffee and a croissant that suited us very well in the morning. We stayed at Sovrando over Christmas. Alberto the owner was always there, very friendly and did all he could to make our stay as nice as possible. Even offered us red wine and sparkling wine waiting for us in the room. Overall a hotel that is very easy to recommend. Also nice to watch the surroundings from the balcony. Lots of restaurants nearby, clean, quiet and great location

Owner was super responsive, provided wonderful advice on where to park, eat, etc. And bottled water and snacks were provided in our room each day. Location was great and balcony had amazing views of the theatre.

Location was very good, because just a few steps away from the city highlights. At a beautiful square with a view at the theater of Bellini (from our room), with a nice balcony and facilities for heaving breakfast or a drink or restaurants. Room was very clean and a very good and friendly host. We will recommend it to anyone. Parkingfacitlity around the corner.

There was nothing we did not like. B&B Il Sovrano exceeded our expectations, and we would return anytime we are near Catania.

B&B Il Sovrano is a delight. Located in an historic building on Piazza Vincenzo Bellini, it is a charming and quiet oasis. With balconies overlooking the square, and immaculate and comfortable rooms, we highly recommend B&B Il Sovrano. Alberto, our host, greeted us at the door, answered all our questions, made dinner recommendations, and arranged our taxi to return to the airport. Our stay, and our host, were wonderful.

The breakfast was in a cafe across from the B & B. It was a coffee and a sweet pastry.

The best part of the hotel was the balcony with an outstanding view. We sat there every day. The bed was perfect for us. really comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean and made up every day. The smell was very nice. The room wasn't so big but it had everything we needed. Alberto did all that he could to make our stay as nice as possible. It's the extras that make it special (complimentary water bottles daily and a bottle of wine to drink on the balcony...)

Amazing location, a balcony faced to the "L'Opera" Teatro Vincenzo Bellini. We were welcomed with a bottle of Sicialn vine, which made the moments spent on the terace unfrogatable. The structure is modern designed, very clean room and bathroom. Thank you Alberto for your kindness, and highly proffesianaly attitude, making our stay fantastic.
