Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeThe hotel's location was a bit tricky to find, as it’s tucked away in a back alley with no obvious signage. We only confirmed we were in the right place by checking the label on the doorbell. Due to the tight space and parked vehicles, our taxi couldn't drop us off right at the entrance. Getting a taxi via FREENOW from the hotel was also challenging, as drivers had trouble locating us and often had to circle the area multiple times. Tip: For easier pickups and drop-offs, head to the main street or use a nearby restaurant as a meeting point. Inside the room, the heating system was a bit noisy, so we only turned it on before bed. Fortunately, the room temperature was comfortable enough that we didn’t need to keep it running overnight. While this wasn’t a major issue for us, light sleepers who are sensitive to noise or easily get cold might find it bothersome. The room itself was decent, but it could use more comfortable chairs. Sometimes, you just want to lounge instead of lying in bed, and better seating would have made the space feel even cozier.
This hotel exceeded my expectations and was even better than I had anticipated. I’m not sure if we were given an upgraded room, but it certainly felt like it! Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a cozy bed and soft pillows—perfect for our five-night stay. The bathroom was also impressively clean and roomy, complete with a bathtub and a well-functioning water heater. However, a few more hooks for hanging clothes would have been a nice addition. Breakfast was good, though the selection remained the same each day. If you’re staying for several nights, expect a consistent spread of breads, spreads, and other basics. For us, it was sufficient, but those looking for variety might find it repetitive. The reception staff were incredibly helpful and responsive, and the daily cleaning service was thorough. There’s also a nearby laundry service, though it is on the pricier side since they handle everything from washing to folding. The rooms are located on the second floor, and while there is a lift, it’s quite small—only fitting two people at a time. It can accommodate luggage, but if you’re traveling with a baby stroller, wheelchair, or bulky items, navigating the stairs might be a challenge. I was initially concerned about noise and safety since the hotel is near Piazza Navona, but it was surprisingly quiet, and we loved the neighborhood. The location was fantastic—just steps away from great dining spots, a 15-minute walk to the Pantheon, a bit further to the Trevi Fountain, and less than 20 minutes to Castel Sant'Angelo and the Vatican. We hardly needed transportation, choosing instead to walk everywhere or use Lime scooters, which was a huge plus! Overall, this hotel was a wonderful find, offering comfort, convenience, and a prime location. Highly recommended!

New ZealandThe room was comfortable for a nights stay in Rome. The location was very good. The layout of the bathroom was a little strange and the shower was over a bath. I would stay again as it wasn't too expensive and the aircon was good.

LithuaniaOur room was near registration post, so it was noisy at the early morning (7-8 a.m). Breakfast was late every day about 10-15 minutes. And we did not liked cleaning services - cleaning lady throwed up our drink (was open, but almost full) and one day we received dirty and ripped towels.
Location is very good - all most popular objects are near. Bed is confortable, AC worked perfectly. Breakfast to the room at the time we wanted.

KazakhstanThe price was very high for our stay because it was a hot season and also the days of the Italian Tennis Cup (as I realized in Rome). It is not a real hotel, it's a residence, so I missed the hotel spirit because I like hotels more.
The location is very good, The bathroom is spacious. Everything is clean. The Internet is good. The reception guy is very helpful and polite.

A great location and suite was very good but needs much better lighting especially in bathroom. Pillows could use a refresh as they were flat. Location is perfect as you can walk to all the key sights and attractions, and very good local restaurants in the area. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

BulgariaThere were some stains on the sheets, cobwebs on the ceiling, and the bathtub in the bathroom was cracked in the corner. It's not much, but it leaves a bad impression on the guests - when you pay so much for a night, you expect more.
Definitely the location was great - 3 minutes walk from Piazza Navona, 5 minutes from the Pantheon. The staff is friendly. The breakfast was delicious and quite enought. The bed was really comfortable. We were sent advance check-in instructions which were detailed and sufficient.
