The reception area is a little underwhelming and smells of food from the kitchen. The food wasn’t as good as elsewhere, so we didn’t bother with it after the first day. Don’t be put off by the childish decor - this hotel has bags of charm and everything else is really excellent.

The location is incredible- set on a cliff overlooking the sea. Our room was also looking out over the sea and I’d highly recommend the suites for this reason. It’s only a short walk into town, but the tranquility of the location makes up for the distance. We were able to hire excellent quality mountain bikes from the extremely knowledgable guy who’s workshop was attached to the hotel. Fab cocktails from our lovely barman (sorry can’t remember his name) and a professional pool table in the bar kept us entertained. Add in a huge pool, brand new sup boards, yoga available 3 times a day and we left feeling like we’d more than worked off all the amazing food we ate in cefalu.

The appearance and decore hotel was a pretty tired and dated.

Unfortunately the hotel itself is a bit dated. The rooms are full of dated furniture. Lunch was one of the worst meals we have eaten in Italy, not to mention the prices were ridiculous for lunch, it cost us $54 euro. A lot of additional charges for facilities/activities within the hotel. It’s such a shame because this hotel could be so good!

The views from the property are beautiful and breakfast is great. Only a 15 to 20 minute walk to the city centre.

Some room furniture can be a bit old style, but it depends on the rooms as they are all different. depending on where you are in the hotel, you can hear the doors clapping in the morning… if you have a light sleep it could wake you up.

The location on a cliff is great and the terrasse is really nice! most of the staff is nice and helpful. We asked to change rooms during the stay and the staff was accommodating.

Our studio kitchen lacked a kettle and microwave.

View & balcony were wonderful. Private beach and large deck with plenty of deck chairs and umbrellas. The breakfast was excellent. Restaurant dinner delicious with good portions and service.

Hotel Kalura is absolutely beautiful! Be prepared to do steps if you are staying with an Oceanview room. Our room was literally carved into the side of the cliff and just steps from the ocean/beach below. The bathroom was a nice size and the bed was very comfortable.

Really good 4 *hotel. Nice sea view rooms with small balcony. Delicious sweet Italian BF, also dinner on hotel restaurant. Sunny terrace, car parking at the front of the hotel. Big swimming pool. 20 min walk to city center. Receptionists are very kind. Definitely I would stay again there.

We stayed at Kalura for 3 days and would have happily extended the trip to spend more time here! The hotel views were beautiful and the rooms were perfect for us. Cefalu was just a short walk away and the walk was also scenic and quiet.

blanket felt dirty as did the floor decor was horrible, room didn’t have a nice feel to it takeaway breakfast was a disappointment on our last night very far from the town - we went in low season and there were no buses at prime time to Cefalu town walk was 35 mins rooms were very loud, no soundproofing and kept us up at night - as did the slamming doors

The dinner restaurant food was ordinary. Fine for families but. head to town for a quality romantic meal. Michelin Star place took us in without a reservation. Breakfast on the terrace was very good and the ambience unbeatable.

the location was stunning. We had a large balcony in front of our room which wasn’t entirely private and if someone lit up a cigarette (which happens far too often in Sicily), we scurried inside. The view was breathtaking.

Great breakfast selection. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Location great. Amazing views. Either shuttle bus to town centre right outside hotel or easy walk into town. Private beach very safe and had lifeguard. Pool and tennis facilities great.

brilliant location, good to be out of the town centre which is quite busy. It is a very pleasant walk into town for good choice of bars and restaurants. Our room was large and well equipped with incredible sea view, comfortable and quiet. we loved going down the steps for a dip in the sea. Pool also excellent. An ideal base.
