Would be good to have kettle in room for us. Will be good when their planned restuarant is open 2023 and we could eat at the hotel.

Excellent breakfast home made and lots of different aspects, with lovely service and good gluten free options. Lovely staff and rooms and hotel Good aircon Lovely setting gardens and pool. Helpful staff Good options and varied for evening meal in easy walk.

Travel to Siena and other parts of tuscany was hard without a car and taxis are expensive. Breakfast was generous but not brilliant

We couldn’t fault a thing and will definitely be back one day.

We loved everything about this place from the welcome on arrival, to the amazing room with a small half bottle of wine and balcony overlooking the piazza, the pool area, which even had wifi, delicious breakfasts. The staff were friendly and accommodating and we loved the friendly black cat who greeted us every day. Fabulous location in the heart of the small town, but quiet and relaxing. The flowers and gardens were a special treat.

When we booked we thought the restaurant was open. But when we arrived we discovered it was closed. We had to do some research and find a restaurant with openings in the area. Parking was also a bit of an issue; the concierge told us to park in the public lot down the street, but we got a 30euro ticket in the morning.

Beautiful property, incredible garden & pool, located on a very sweet piazza. Staff was very kind & helpful, and they give guests a complimentary bottle of their own chianti. Room was very nice, very pretty, clean & comfortable.

excellent breakfast- and service. good size and very quiet room ( with mosquito net in window) - very clean and all well functioning. lovely garden, nice ( fairly small) swimmingpool. good sunbeds and towels. good bathroom. Beds in room maybe slightly on the hard side. good bedlinen. A really good place to stay while in the Chianti Classico area!

Couldn't identify any flaw, price a bit high for the services but totally worth it considering the location and proximity to Dario Cecchini's shops.

The location is perfect if you are looking to spend some time in the Chianti valley and relax. We had dinner at Dario Cecchini which is just around the corner. The staff was amazing and very helpful, the views are breathtaking. We look forward to coming back!

Not the friendliest of greetings, drain in shower didn’t work well, only had one pillow and it wasn’t that comfortable.

Wifi somewhat sluggish. No access to the pool as it’s still too cold to swim, even though it’s advertised to have one all year around. Would have been nice for the views.

Very clean nice little place. Staff very friendly and helpful, got served a huge breakfast every morning that would be enough to be shared between two people.

The rooms are basic, nothing fancy, and didn’t feel luxurious or super comfortable. You also cannot drink the tap water.

The pool is the selling point of the property. It is absolutely gorgeous with incredible views!

Room was pretty basic and the bathroom had one tiny light, with none in the shower - so was super dark. Also no lift and had to carry our bag upstairs. Had an honesty bar but charged you to 2 euros to make your own tea with a tea bag

Since Uldericho and the late Anne-Marie retired back to Switzerland the hotel has changed hands and is now part of the assets of the largest local vineyard. It has turned into a B and B with very few hotel facilities being offered. a (male) receptionist looked at my wife (aged over 70) struggling to take a heavy case upstairs and continued to talk to his friend on his mobile. He could and should have helped. the receptionist staff promised to help set up a drinks party but, in the end, had to be reminded and cajoled. It is a different place now, and we won't be returning.

when this was Villa Sangiovese we stayed several times over many years. we celebrated key birthdays with friends flying out to join us as the hotel was so good. it has a fantastic location - on one side looking out over valleys for miles, and on the other, looking into the centre of the village. it is located on one side of the village square, and sometimes the market descends outside the front door. On this occasion, the rejuvenated wine tasting festival took place outside the front door! the hotel itself is cool, both aesthetically and physically with some lovely public rooms and easy access to the outside terraces, from which the views are stunning. there is a swimming pool on the small side but located in such a way you can stand and stare at the scenery whilst contemplating how lucky you are to being there.
