Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesI arrived at the 4 starts hotel that I should have a room booked at 1am. They first gave me a tripple room that no one can move inside as it is too small so I went down and told them that I cannot stay in such a tight room and that I already booked a double room with a king bed! They told me that i ll have to stay in this room until the next day as they do not have other rooms available.. I said ok as I am soooo tired.. I tried to open the room, but the key didn't work.. had to go down again and asked for another key. The guy came with me and opened it with the other key and left.. when i entered the room, i put the key inside its slot to open the lights. The lights didn't work!!! I opened the flash light of my phone and i called the guy, luckily he had told me the reception number (9) as the phone was so old with no instructions on it.. after 3 mins, he replied, saying that i just need to put it in the slot!!! I told him I did, and he came up again to try, and he found that he can not make it work!!! I waited for 15 mins, and he came back with another key to try, and it didn't work. He then told me that i ll have to put it in the slot outside the room and then inside it again to work!!! He tried to make it work for 10 mins!!!! keeping going back and forth inside and outside of the room!!! Finally, after 10 mins, the lights worked, but these are the steps: 1. you have to go outside the room 2. close the door 3. put the key in the slot 4. open the door 5. remove the key from the outside slot 6. put it quickly inside the inner slot of the room 7. quickly close the door (while you are inside).. this is the process to keep the lights on!!!!! And if u say that this is the normal process, I ll tell you try to keep the card inside the inner room slot and open the door, you will be surprised that the light will go off! Breakfast was not good The receptionist made a mistake writing the company name, and when we told her, she said she could not change it.
The place is beside Lidl and Aldi so if anytime you want to buy something, you will find it very easily.

LithuaniaThe reception could have more information regarding public transportation from Arena Opera at night: we found night buses ourselves:)
It was the last minute reservation after our first choice was cancelled, and it exceeded our expectations. The hotel is in the residential area providing excellent public transportation to the city center, good supermarket round the corner and silence at night. The staff of the restaurant is very attentive, there is a wide choice of local and international options for breakfast. The room was located on the upper floor meaning no noise at night at all. Beds were spacious and excellent towels were provided.

United Kingdomthis hotel is in the middle of residential flats, very awkward to get to if you’re not driving. we walked to the centre of Verona and it took us about 35 minutes. the lady who greeted us barely spoke to us or looked at us and had a very confused look on her face until we eventually got a room key and she informed us of our room and breakfast. the room itself is very outdated, 70’s decor, green bathroom, red carpet, ancient hair dryer and peeling wall paper. shower head in the bathroom sprayed everywhere and was unable to be adjusted which made for an awkward shower. the beds also had a rough type blanket under sheets which made you feel itchy. the air con was broken and room was very hot. tv was fine. the hotel was clearly rated 4 stars aboht 50 years ago and hasn’t been updated since. realistically I’d give this hotel 2 stars as I’ve been to a 3 star hotel better than this one.
nice lobby/lounge area when you walk in, spacious room.
