How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The rooms are big and comfortable. Everything you need to see is in walking distance. Easy to access and to find. One of the most comfortable beds ever.

Although not so far, walking distance from Duomo, piazza, etc …the location is surrounded by a dodgy neighbourhood. Just found quite unsettling the area around the block specially at night.
Its comfortable, clean and well preserved. Great communication with host.

I didn't like the neighborhood, which didn't seem safe for a lone woman. It was really noisy during thye night.
Emanuela was really helpful and answered all my questions. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable.

The owner is really helpful. She is available before the departure already in case of any questions. The apartment is on perfect location, 10 min walk from the centre. The apartment is perfect, clean, comfortable. I was really happy with my choice.;)

I was unlucky and couldn't sleep well due to barking dogs in the morning and traffic noise. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my stay.
The accommodation is located in 10-15 Min walking distance to the center. It's spacious and well equipped. Emanuela was very kind and considered my dietary habits for breakfast, which I truly appreciate. Thank you!

You need to turn on the electricity in your room with a key that is attached (by a lock, no less) to the other keys. So for example you have to lock and unlock your room from the inside when you're in the dark. I understand they don't want people to leave the lights on when they leave but this is a bit too much
Great location within walking distance of everything. Plus, easy to find parking for the rental car

All was excellent
It was a pleasant stay at Emanuela's place. Everything was super nice, the room was clean, comfortable, room service was done everyday. We arrived earlier and weren't suppose to have breakfast on our first day, anyway Emanuela was kind and offered us breakfast. The apartment is located near the city center, so we didn't use any public transport in the city. Also, we received a lot of recommendations about local sights, restaurants and other needs. Surely recommend a stay at Mokarta.

It's a pity that the wifi was not available directly in the room, but we knew about it in advance, so it's okay :). The wifi worked perfectly in the kitchen/on the balcony. The location was close to the center, but it was a bit noisy and sometimes seemed dangerous to us. However, the whole stay was without problems.
Emanuela was incredibly nice and willing and helpful in EVERYTHING. Well thank you ♥. The room was cleaned every day. Close to the center, to the square. Everything was exactly as in the photos.

i couldn’t sleep was pretty noise and the building is located in a very shady / place, would have been much satisfied if the AC would have worked properly (was more like a fan working not really cooling) and worked a little before we came (were 40 degrees during the day), i didn’t have wi-fi in the room , an the worst that could happened and didn’t let me sleep and made me almost throw up (also considering that was a dry atmosphere in the room because) was a horrible smell at 1am in the morning of fried garlic and cooking :/ never ever happend this before to me! i had to endure and try to sleep through that smell and sweating…
located 10 min from city center and 10 min from the airport
