How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

the bathroom was pretty old, it had a small shower with showercurtain we arrived at 3pm and unfortunately the room wasn’t ready.
the location is perfect. the staff is really sweet

Nothing to dislike.
Very good location, walking distance from station and ferry. Very comfortable and very helpful staff. Great restaurant attached to the hotel. Altogether very enjoyable experience.

The front desk staff (Ekterina) went out of her way to accomodate all of our needs. The kitchen staff was wonderful. The breakfast service was simply awesome.

Room was somewhat old-fashioned. Definitely worth refurbishing.
Excellent location. Very helpful staff (especially Jekaterina - thank you very much for your kindness). Good breakfast.

The only negative for us was the breakfast. Everything was running out and not being replaced. Even plates and cutlery. Maybe more staff in the kitchen would improve this.
It was a short walk from the train station and very easy to find. The staff on reception were lovely and gave us great advice on places to visit. The bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of toiletries provided. The hotel was quiet at night which was good.

The room was very basic and in need of modernisation. The shower was poor and had a curtain that stuck to you. There was a smart tv but the WiFi wasn't good enough to be able to use it. Breakfast options were very limited, mostly cakes and pastries.
The location was great, close to the station though there were steps near the station and to get into the hotel. The receptionist was very helpful. The room was very clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable.

The property was exceptionally clean, conveniently located close to downtown and the port, and offered a warm and welcoming atmosphere thanks to the friendly staff. The breakfast was a highlight, with delicious options that added to a wonderful experience.

The walls are paper thin and the entry way is very loud. We could hear every other room talking . No mini fridge

Very outdated, showers impossible because they flooded, no awnings for waiting outside. Super hard to get luggage to and from your room, up many steps. No chairs in some rooms. Way over priced.

Perfectly placed and immaculate. Matteo was extremely warm and helpful with luggage and use of a space after checking out. My stay was affected by a national train strike and my money was refunded for the night I couldn’t stay, for which I am grateful. A lovely breakfast was provided. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Everything was old and not very clean. Hairs left in the sink from previous guests. Room very small.
The location to the train station and the ferry was a bonus. 5 minute walk to laundry services. 2 Minute walk to the ferry, 5 minute walk to the train station.

Air conditioner was broken for two of our three nights. It was supposed to be working on the last night but was not adequate. No offer was made to compensate us for this.
Location is great. Breakfast was ok. Beds were comfortable.

The a/c wasn't working and it was sweltering. Could not sleep. Opened windows for circulation, but street and people outside extremely noisy.

I could have used a single chair to sit at the desk In the room; instead I had to move the bed closer to the desk, to use as a chair.
Check-in was personal and friendly. Easy to receive assistance if needed. Very well-organized staff.
