How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Room was quite good, but nothing special. Hotel offered a good breakfast with cake, bread, ham cheese and fruits. Really close to harbor and restaurants. Staff is really friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and would come back.

View from balcony was not so nice (towards another house). Little expensive when looking at value for money.
Spacious, clean room with comfy bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Good breakfast.

Just a bit too generic—no colorful touches. Balcony overlooked skanky neighboring yard—extra cost for that????
Breakfast good. Location good. Pool area good but sterile. Staff was very, very helpful and fluent in English. There was a beach chair and several umbrellas to borrow.

We had a perfect stay at Hotel Nettuno. The hotel is top located in Cala Gonone, everything can easily be reached within walking distance. The owner is super friendly and helpful. The whole team is very kind. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, we also had a balcony. Breakfast was lovely. We would stay there again

Nothing, I would hands down stay here again
The staff were exceptional. Super friendly, extremely helpful, and always happy and smiling. They truely made our stay. The property was in a great spot with ample parking. It has a fabulous pool which is certainly needed in the heat of Sardinia.

The rooms are a little old fashioned and simple but it’s very comfortable and nothing to complain about. The location is good but there are other hotels literally upstairs to the restaurants and beach.
Amazing owner- super friendly and helpful. All the staff were very kind. Super clean. The rooms cannot be cleaner. Price is very good value as well. The rooms are very big and comfortable. Breakfast was also lovely

The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, with good local tips and recommendations. Great coffee and breakfast in the morning. Very relaxing pool with super aperitifs in the evening, and really enjoyed the local red wine after dinner. Good value for money. Located conveniently very close to the beach and restaurants.

We thought that the pool would be larger than it turns out to be. If we were travelling with kids who just wanted to swim in a pool all day, it probably wouldn't have lived up to expectations. Small, and like everything else at Nettuno, spotlessly clean, it was just about right for a short, after boat ride, dip.
Mario and his team offer a friendly and helpful welcome. All facilities lived up to or slightly exceeded our expectations of a 3 star stay. Having seen some of the other 3 star places in the vicinity, I'm certain we chose the best. Rooms are spotlessly clean. Whilst they can't be described as stylish or luxurious, they have all the basics you'd want or expect at the price. The location is superb - under a minute walk to a well appointed grocery, dozens of restaurants within 5 minutes, and the port where boat trips depart are maybe 6-7 minutes away. And unlike most other hotels in such a central location, there was even a small swimming pool that was perfect for a post-boat trip cool off. The classic room (which we had) doesn't have a balcony and I wish I'd paid a bit more for that amenity. Oh, and for those reviewers who say they don't like the machine made coffee at breakfast, on our second morning we noticed that there is a second pot full of filter coffee now (and it is indeed better!).

Bed not super comfy and room didn't look completely outside, you looked into an internal courtyard which wasn't super appealing.
