It is a good location to see Milano. Croisants and coffee for breakfast were good.

I made a reservation, I informed in the email that I would arrive at 10pm and as it said I paid 10 euros in fee, arriving on time I was informed that I could not check in my reservation and if I wanted to I would have to make a new one there or in other words pay another one , I was tired, it was raining and cold and I had to look for another hostel, and booking didn't reimburse me, I don't recommend it.

The staff were so rude and very aggressive, very arrogant. I left my key behind the desk when I left for the day so I didn’t misplace it and I was going to get it when I got back on the night, so I came back to get the key and the staff member told me that it wasn’t there and that I’ve lost it shouting saying I’m going to have to pay a big fine trying to intimidate me. The room was invaded by mosquitos. Never seen so many of them in my life. It was impossible to sleep as I got over 30 stings. This is absolutely harmful considering the huge turnover of guests. One receptionist was even making fun of me when I reported the issue and he did absolutely nothing to sanitize afterwards. Very arrogant person. The room and the bathroom are lacking hangers, shelves or whatever is obvious to have in a hostel.

The shower door could not close properly which caused the toilet to be all wet after it. There was no bath mat we had to ask for one.

It’s not a long walk from the city center. They serve a good croissant and a coffee beverage for breakfast.

Bedbugs in the bed! Terrible experience with bringing them home after a stay. This hostel needs a disinfection!

I was attacked by insect and after inspection I found bedbugs on my bed. I do not exaggerate there were a lot of them. It means that the sanitary and hygienic condition of bed and mattress was terrible. Reception said they don’t have any other room. In the morning came manager and she asked to send them email. It was everything she could do. I send message and didn’t receive any response.

Every request addressed with demand for money. Comparing this hostel to others in cities like Prague or Leipzig... facilities are so below average. 1. Towel sets cost extra which is mentioned in the description but what's not mentioned is that you don't get a bath mat. If you ask for one, you are asked to pay 7.5€ for a new towel set (and then feel free to use the towels for bathmat) 2. Breakfast was included in our booking - we were informed at check in that is starts at 9am because that's when the croissants arrive but if we want something earlier its still possible to get a cup of coffee. We went for a cup of coffee at 8am next day and were asked to pay for the coffee... because it was not 9am yet!

Location is good. Walkable to Duomo as well as Navigli. Given that hotels in Milan are quite expensive, we chose to pay 85 for a double bed room. Room is basic with minimal furnishings as is expected in a hostel. No pleasant surprises there! However the size of the room was quite big and the bathroom was clean.

Paying for towels is a little strange but not a big deal. Bag drop off before check in didnt feel overly safe but nothing happened so must be safe enough.

Perfect value for money in a room for two. Spacious with big beds, shower good, bathroom clean, air con effective. Staff very helpful on check in.

I have the worst ever experience with the staff that name: George or Hamid. As I arrived on the 16th of Sept at around 3:00 in the morning Local time. I came to New Generation Hostel with my backpack with me and I approached this weird unprofessional staff. Who I ask after I arrived early than 11am if I can stay outside the hostel as he doesn't allow me to stay inside the lobby, due to my safety as I am not familiar to this City called Milan. But he refused my request. He only suggested me to go and booked to the other hostel that is 5min away from New Generation Hostel which I check, and it was fully booked during the hour and there is another hotel I check and it's a bit costly for me and So, I go back and ask him again if I could just stay right outside the hostel as I was too scared to stay outside. But all he did was telling me: You can't stay here you gonna have to leave. I ask again: I do not know anywhere or place to go I am not familiar with the city and if u could just let me stay outside the hostel even just in front of the chapel. He doesn't care instead he is more on sipping on his Shiaha at around 4:00am in the morning."Long story short"I give up. I look for a tram station and waited there until around 7:45 in the morning. Then I go back to the hostel and there was an Asian lady arrive in the hostel and I think it was the colleague of this weird unprofessional man as I saw them talking with each other later on until this weirdo guy finished his shift and so, I tried to stay on the sofa outside the hostel and there is this lovely Asian lady: forgot her name but I approached her and ask if I can have a cup of hot chocolate. But I think she saw me poorly trying to take a nap on the sofa while waiting till 11am. She ask me If I want her to check me in early than 11am. But I need to pay extra €10 plus €4 for the city tax and so, I take the opportunity to pay and get check in early.

The rooms are on another level of dirty. Old disgusting clothes just laying around the room, broken AC, dirty floor and so on. It was really bad unfortunately

very rude staff. they dont tell you about the penalties in case you sleep in the wrong bed and then they'll give you a big penalty bill without warning you in good faith. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED

Staff was very nice, rooms with lockers, beds are comfortable. I would notice that for some reason there several showers in one bathroom and they have no locks. It's a little bit unusual but i liked my stay and territory near the hostel
