How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

This hotel was amazing! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location was perfect and the breakfast on the terrace was lovely! We were only here for a very short stay but it was everything we needed. Lots of food & shops within close proximity and the Trevvi was only a 15/20 minute walk. The bed was also SUPER comfortable!

location was absolutely superb, walking distance from all the main tourist attractions. staff were amazing, they were so helpful - gave us tips on where to go & took our cases up and down for us.

The room was a good size, it was very clean. Perfect location we walked everywhere. There’s a coffee shop next door and a gelato shop steps away. Super easy check in process. Easy to communicate with the staff there via whatsapp. We would stay here again.

very good location and friendly staff. you are right in the middle of everything nice to see in Rome. We had a terrace which was great and private, and the room was very cold in the summer heat. we didn’t order breakfast, because the best bakery in town is right down stairs. it is a very good private hotel, right in the middle of the small old streets, it can be a little chaotic outside but when you walk inside you don’t feel it. And the rooftop terrace is very nice both during the day and in the evening.

The water pressure on the shower was intermittent I'm guessing when the water was being used elsewhere in the building, it dropped in other parts. This didn't spoil our stay, but an area for improvement for the owners maybe...
Location was amazing, central to all attractions. Room was spotlessly clean, staff were friendly and informative. Cost was budget friendly Beds were incredibly comfortable

The rooms definitely weren't soundproof. We were below what I think was the kitchen, and by 5am it was very loud with footsteps above.
The rooftop terrace is beautiful! Our room was very clean and well equipped. The staff (Sebastian in particular) was very helpful and welcoming! Breakfast was simple and delicious. Loved our little patio terrace, although it's not private (other apartment balconies above). Location is perfect! Close to easy restaurants and bars, cafes,and shops. Easy walk to tourist attractions.

Nice place with helpful staff on site in daytime and easy out of hours checkout. Clean and fresh decor. Amazing roof terrace. Area is good with adjacent restaurants and bars but room was quiet. Lovely short walk over pedestrian bridge to Trastevere which is a buzzing little area.

Central to all top tourist attractions. The staff were very friendly and happy to help with any questions asked of them about getting around Rome. The cleanliness was outstanding and loved how our things were carefully looked after. Beautiful roof top sitting area for guests.

Location is excellent, walking distance to all main sights. Deluxe room was spacious and bed was really comfortable! Staff is nice and always helpful. Breakfast seems minimal at first but delicious and perfectly enough to start the day. Had an amazing stay, would definitely recommend!

Incredible little spot. Great Central location in a lively part of town surrounded by restaurants, bars and all the big attractions within wallkng distance. The room was a great size with a lovely bathroom and everything you could hope for. Staff were amazing and couldn't have been more accommodating!
