How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Unfortunately the bed was uncomfortable and the area was noisy at night. Also very steep stairs to the little bedroom and the apartment is very dark.
Great location and good price. Good facilities. Plenty of room.

Took us 2 1/2 hours to find it as it was not called Palazzo dei Conti but 4 Balconies????? Making it very hard to find ☹️. Advertised Wi-fi - had none for 5 days. Also no hot water for 5 days, messaged property and they replied with excuses . !!!

I haven't seen anyone to check in. Everything worked with code's, keys in locker, etc. I prefer to see people who are working there.
Breakfast wasn't included, just coffee , tea and a bottle of water.

Keep the appartment ventilated, old buildings tend to smell a bit musty is kept close. I would paint the wooden floor in the mezzanine bedroom just to make feel fresher and cleaner.
Great location. The apartment was spacious and had character within and old and beautiful building.

To summarise: the bed was broken, the sofa was broken, the main entrance door lock was broken, WiFi did not work, TV did not have any signal, and also carpet was not well hoovered...I stayed 1st night after they promised to come and fix the bed. Nobody came, so next day I requested to cancel the booking for the 2nd night. They refused. Meanwhile I booked another place. We communicated by WhatsApp. Later we called them with my Italian brother in law and they said that they do not care what review I will write here, I will not see my money. 🤷 PS: the place is on the road with the busiest bar area in town, with loud music till 2 am, and this was during the week day. So if you are looking for a peaceful night, forget.
Think twice before booking this place!!! I had to cancel and they refused to refund me :(

Rooms were not as pictured. Very dark and dusty. Light fixtures in bathroom were flickering, sink in bathroom didnt work, fridge door wouldn't close easily. Had a cockroach visitor. No aircon in bedroom.

The area is a bit noisy at weekends due to the bars around the corner.
Right in the middle of the historic old town center! A lot of Restaurants and Bars around it.

The bed was a little uncomfortable.

Difficult to park the car in Lecce. Better to take the train. Car was not necessary while in Lecce.
Beautiful Palazzo well located to reach all. Helpful, friendly hosts.

Lovely Room.. furnished with antiques.. located in beautiful historic district.. Virtual instructions easy and very helpful! I have stayed in other places in the historic center.. nice and clean but lacking in amenities... However..This room in the Palazzo dei Conti di Lecce had many modern conveniences.. yet kept the charm of the ancient building.. I highly recommend for a pleasurable stay in a picturesque setting..

It’s in a bit of a black hole for phone reception so having a working wifi would help so people can research from home.
Big room, had all the basic facilities, clean, well located. Staff were very friendly on the phone and check in and out was a breeze. They also held my luggage for the day as my bus wasn’t until the evening which was so helpful. Thank you

This was my families first trip to Italy and especially this part of Italy was our first stop. The instructions that were given to us were straight forward and simple regarding getting the key for the place, but no parking included. An address was provided to a “parking” place but it was with the hope of finding a spot because there’s so many cars. We got inside and it looked just like in the picture for starters. We tried connecting to the WiFi they gave us and it didn’t work at all. We got charged extra to use our data because we’re foreign. The owners said they would fix the wifi and if not, they would get a specialist to fix it the next day. “Breakfast included” and I put that in quotation marks because I don’t know what kind of breakfast is two little packages of toast and some jellies. Not once did they refill the “breakfast” or ask if we needed anything. They also ignored our question regarding breakfast because we asked. Only 1 roll of toilet paper was provided for 3 nights and we had to ask for more and only 1 more was given to us. They told us the WiFi was fixed but it did not get fixed and that made it a lot more difficult for my wife and me and more expensive for using our data in another country. I’m sorry but this was a terrible experience for us and we definitely don’t recommend this place at all.
