Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LithuaniaIt would be much better experience if you won't have to drive through mountains of trash - it's not a long distance from Agrigento to the gate of the house, but trash is all over it.
Really good apartment to stay not far from historic temples. Nice area when you enter the gate, comfortable rooms.

United KingdomIt is a little too far to comfortably walk to town (or to the station). The lane leading to the property is not well-signposted (the sign is behind you) and not clear one is looking for a gap between buildings on Via D Alighieri.
Beautiful location in an orange Grove, just below Agrigento. Lovely room, great view, quiet, lovely communal areas and great breakfast.

Canadabreakfast was excellent and was included. Staff were terrific. A little hard to find the place as it is not easily found and signs were not clearly displayed to find it. Overall, I would recommend it. very quiet and secluded. Keep in mind, we only stayed one night.

SpainThe owners should indicate better the way. We got twice stuck in the middle of nowhere and this during night.
Nice room within olive and citrus trees. Very friendly! Very calm. Great breakfast. A relaxing stay. Even when we arrived the night, the handing over of the keys were no problem.

AustraliaThe road getting there was a bit of a shock but once there and you knew where you were going it was good.
Great location for what we intended to do whilst in and around Agrigento, which was to visit the Valley of the Temples. Lovely villa surrounded by olive trees, almond trees and citrus. Nice breakfast on the terrace

United KingdomThere is no view of the temples, though the view out of over the countryside is pleasant. Finding your way to the property is not easy. The turn off the Via Dante Alighieri in town is difficult to spot especially when there is a lot of traffic and unbelievably narrow (look out for the sign painted on the wall in red for the pizzeria Still Life 2.0 and the fitness centre sign Palestra). The road drops down very quickly, keep baring right and you'll see the sign for Parco dei Templi follow on the road down the hill and under a tunnel. After this point the road turns into a very rough track before reaching the accommodation. If you turn right at the rough track T junction on leaving the property the road Via Giovani Volpe (avire) at this point is a one way section leading down to SS11 dual carriageway so be very careful.
The accommodation was excellent set in the countryside just below the city of Agrigento. The staff friendly. Breakfast OK but minimal. Nice balcony to sit out on with a handy washing line. Also a communal siting out space outside the property with a reasonably priced stock of wine and beer in a help yourself storage box. We got very nice take away pizzas at Still Life 2.0 and enjoyed some wine from the afore mentioned storage box.

Germanyalthough close to the city center it is a bit difficult to get there because of the road in poor conditions for some part, so you might need a car or a bicycle like me, but once there the view compensated for the short bumpy ride
I liked the color and the design of the room, the cleanliness, the stunning view, the facilities including terrace, the staff who were so friendly, the olive and orange trees, it was a perfect escape

IsraelThey did not open the gate. Nobody answered the bell. even 15 min. before the "official" check in time. Very frustrating...
This place is a nice house with several rooms and a big garden. The problem is that it is hard to find. You have to enter an area of apartment blocks in Agrigento and then you need to find a narrow street that takes you to the gate of the property. This narrow street is in a pretty bad shape. It was very frustrating that after finding the place - not an easy task - we arrived at 14:40 and they did not open the gate. I am sure that there was somebody in the house. They are very strict with the check-in time 15:00 - 19:00. So take care...We left the place and came back later. Looks like there is not a permanent host in the house and somebody arrives to service the guests at specific hours. The room was ok, nice balcony, nice open view. The breakfast was minimal - cakes and yogurt only. The location is ok for the center of Agrigento. Valle dei Templi is about 20 min. drive.
