Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyThe room had a tremendous paint odor! The first night of our stay we were in a room that smelled of extra special paint, we chose to leave the room window open for air when we first checked in because we were in a hurry to get out of the house, but we couldn't stand the smell when we went to bed at night. The smell of the room was very heavy, and the smell of paint in the toilet was even heavier. The next night we were given a different room that didn't smell like paint, but couldn't understand why they would sell a room that smelled so bad. The receptionist was quite nice and pointed out that we hadn't informed of our need for a room change in the first hour of check-in, which, indeed, I hadn't asked for, but couldn't understand why it would be sold. The hotel compensated for the free breakfast, but it was still a bad experience for us.

GreeceThe room floor looked super old, the overall room decoration was outdated and there was no natural light. Finally, there was a very intense chlorine smell in the bathroom. Unfortunately, I wouldn't choose this hotel for my next stay in florence.
Stuff was helpful, the room was always really warm and has a renovated bathroom and is near the city center.

The location is great, with a small city park nearby good for morning walking. The place is also in walking distance to the train station and the tourist area. The staff were very helpful, and the room was quite spacious. Although the room didn’t have an electric kittle but when I asked at the reception they offered me one during my stay.

TurkeyThe hotel is very dated. I thought this hotel had 24 hour front desk but it did not. The reception closed at 11 pm and you had to get in with a code. There was no water in the room and we were counting on the vending machine in the reception area but the whole area was closed so we did not have access to water. The elevator only goes up to the first floor after 11 pm also, you have to get off, enter another code and go up the stairs. Florence hotels are not very cheap in general but I am not sure if you get good value for your money at this hotel.
The room was bigger than Europe average. The staff were friendly. Walking distance to everything.

IrelandDidn’t like the room in the hotel or the staffs attitude to us. It wasn’t the cleanest. There was dust all over the curtains and the interior was very run down. There was a large number of Mosquitos in the room who bite us a number of times. We where covered in bite marks. Upon explaining to the staff that the room wasn’t cleaned they where so rude one lady in particular she didn’t want to listen to us. We showed her the bites and the picture of the dust. She was so rude even the girl at reception had to apologies to us for the other staff members attitude. Overall it was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at.

Close to the city center where most attractions are. Great service, they even offered to keep our luggage while we visited more places after check-out because the train was late. They offered an earlier check-in than the one programmed to help us save time.

FranceThis hotel is truly indescribable. The reception is unlike any other reception in the world and the hotel rooms are scattered throughout an old building, with private flats. The building must be an old warehouse or multi-storey shop. This hotel looks like nothing.
We were upgraded and enjoyed one of the beautifully renovated rooms.

I really love this little hotel, very well connected, location was great, the room was clean and spacious, really nice bathroom. The people who work there is very friendly and attentive. The cherry on top is they allow you to let your luggage at the reception after check out so you can enjoy your last day in the city. 10 min walk to the train station.
