Excellent accomodation, just in front of Galata Museum, with an amazing view over the port and the city, 5-10 min walk to the main attractions (Old port, Old city, restaurants, train station). Very cozy and agreable inside. Just perfect.

The stay was exceptional with warm welcome and super clean room. Host Franccesca came and took us from railway station at almost midnight for our safety. Guest house location is just in front of porto antico and aquarium. There you can find everything for your comfortable stay, e.g. small kitchen for breakfast. Would reccomend it to everyone! :)

the immediate area around the building is not great but we were never really uncomfortable. probably a good idea to stay away from the small alleyways at night.

Nothing - everything was perfect.

Clear entry instructions and very warm welcome. Good information on places to visit and restaurant recommendations provided. Room was extremely comfortable and spacious and spotlessly clean and tidy. The communal dining/kitchen area had a plentiful supply of hot/cold drinks and breakfast items. Great views of the port and, although the building is adjacent to a very busy road, noise was not an issue as there is very good double-glazing and air-conditioning. Great location as close to transport links, city centre, port and restaurants. Good wi-fi connection.

We loved it all

We are so pleased we booked to stay at Port View, Genoa, because it’s the best place we have stayed in since we left home 4 weeks ago. We rate it so highly because the listing was accurate, details provided were correct, and the level of excellent communication was just what we needed from a property. We were comfortable, safe and had such a good nights sleep . The DYI breakfast was relaxing also - no scheduled time , just when we were ready .

There was nothing I did not like only the fact that America tourist seem to complain about everything in Italy. if that is the case don’t bother travelling to this beautiful country and respect their culture it’s not pleasant to be rude .

The location is a bit strange but close to the city center and port.

Room : super comfortable with modern interiors, clean bathroom, amazing view from window, spacious and good heating. The room was absolutely clean on day two as well. Fresh linens and towels! They also gave us Easter Egg Choco!! How kind and lovely ☺️ Food : We were not expecting any breakfast, they surprised us with little snacks in the common kitchen area like cake, biscuits, bread, butter, jam, honey etc along with toaster, kettle, microwave etc. Ambience : The property is located near Genoa Principe Station (a little strange locality) but very close to the port and city center. Receptionist : The guy was so kind to stay back late until we arrived. Always kept us updated about the room situation. However, he seemed in a rush to leave for Easter perhaps haha! Overall, very happy with our stay and would highly recommend booking Port View Genoa.

The location, if you’re not expecting it, is a bit sketchy. I know this can’t be helped by the property and maybe there’s a combination in that I arrived on a Friday evening, but there were a lot of people in the road by the port and on the street directly behind where I had some inappropriate comments made. If you’re travelling alone and are not used to it, it could be off putting. I was up early and early to bed during my stay so apart from the first night, it didn’t bother me too much.

The room itself was perfect - incredibly comfy bed, lots of storage space (if you need it) and the en suite was fantastic. Even though the room faced the road/port, the sound proofing is very good - I’m quite a light sleeper and it did not disturb me. I didn’t meet the host but she was always a WhatsApp always and was very helpful with instructions. It’s about 10 mins from the old port which now has lots of food and drink options as well as being close to the train station.

A bit complicated to find, parking is a bit of a hassle in the area.

Location is great, 5 walking minutes away from old city. The room had fantastic views of the port and the old city. Room super comfortable, has everything one could need. Host was very helpful.

Not a dislike - but for some - there are stairs to the lift. They are enclosed and secure once you have retrieved the key. The lift was a highlight as it was cute - tiny and gave the experience a lovely character.

This little gem was a lovely surprise and captured everything we had hope for in choosing a small family business for our stay. I loved the fact that I could freely communicate with Francesca via text about our progress making our way to Genoa and each text made me feel as though she was wanting to make us welcome. The area where this is located is very busy but within minutes we were freely navigating the port area and all the winding narrow streets through the old port. Each time we zigzagged through the area - we found finding our way back very easy. We were impressed by the fact we could walk from the cruise ship for arrival - see it from our room - and then walk to the train station on under 10 minutes for our departure. I understand that the street can be intimidating to some but we did not feel threatened at all - and after walking 10km and a nice waterfront dinner - we slept soundly. The rooms were exactly as pictured and the detail was impressive including a towel rack that warmed the towels and a few refreshments in the little fridge. Free use of the kitchen resulted in us ordering the espresso machine to be waiting for us at home. The offerings of wrapped pastries - yogurt - was simple and sufficient for us. The room was air conditioned and with the windows closed surprisingly quiet.

Getting to the B&B by car was a little stressful as it was not easy to find the parking that had been recommended to us. Fortunately Luca came to the rescue! He rode in our car with us and took us straight to the parking lot, and then accompanied us to our room. He was extremely kind and helpful! The main thing we didn’t like was the breakfast, which was nothing special, but at least there was good coffee, so it was ok.
